| The Curriculum Standards for Geography in Senior High Schools(2017 edition,2020 revision)emphasize that the selection of textbook content should revolve around the main concepts and key competencies that contribute to the core literacy of geography subjects.As an important component of geography,geography concept is the basis for students to understand the content of geography knowledge and establish the structure of geography knowledge.However,in front-line teaching,students’ learning of geographical concepts is "superficial" and their understanding of geographical concepts is superficial,which makes it difficult for teachers to combine geographical concept teaching with core literacy cultivation.As one of the effective ways to cultivate students’ core qualities,deep learning helps students understand the nature of geographical concepts,form a knowledge system and develop higher-order thinking.Therefore,this paper combines deep learning theory with geography concept teaching,examines the current situation of geography concept teaching in high schools,constructs teaching design paths and puts forward teaching suggestions,in order to provide references for front-line teachers.This paper mainly adopts the method of literature research,classroom observation and action research.Firstly,the research background and significance of this paper are determined by referring to and sorting out relevant literature,and the research status at home and abroad is summarized.On this basis,the research purpose,methods and ideas of this paper are determined.Secondly,the definition of relevant concepts is clearly defined and the theoretical basis involved in this paper is expounded.Thirdly,according to the research on deep learning and concept teaching of geography,the observation dimension is drawn up and the observation scale is determined.Based on this,geography classroom in high school is observed to understand the current situation of geography concept teaching in high school from the perspective of deep learning.Fourthly,according to the existing research status and classroom observation results,it constructs the teaching design path of high school geography concept based on deep learning,and chooses "Adapting to local conditions and Regional Development" for case design.Fifth,carry out the implementation of the case,constantly reflect and improve the implementation,improve the teaching design,and analyze and summarize the implementation effect.Sixth,according to the classroom observation and the implementation of the case,the author puts forward some teaching suggestions to promote the deep learning of geography concept for senior high school students.Finally,summarize the main conclusions,innovations,deficiencies and prospects of this paper.Through the analysis of high quality class examples,it is found that teachers can realize the importance of geography concept and practice it intentionally in the current teaching of high school geography concept.The situation creation is more problematical design;Use teaching strategies intentionally to promote students to break through the key and difficult points of geographical concept knowledge;Pay attention to cooperation and communication between students,respect students’ main position.At the same time,there are still the following deficiencies: on the whole,teachers’ understanding of deep learning theory and geography concept teaching strategy is not deep enough,and their strategy level needs to be further improved.Specifically,it shows that the learning goal does not dig deeply into the level of geographical concept,and does not have a high correlation with the core literacy.Ignoring students’ autonomous generalization of geographical concepts;Students’ subjectivity is not strong and lack of transfer training of geographical concepts;The main body and content of concept evaluation are relatively simple.Ignoring the cultivation of students’ self-inquiry consciousness;The board writing is clear but the structure level needs to be strengthened.Based on the research on deep learning and geography concept teaching,combined with the advantages and disadvantages found in classroom observation,the following teaching design basis is summarized and refined:(1)the characteristics of deep learning;(2)Process of deep learning;(3)the formation process of geographical concept;(4)Main teaching strategies of geographical concepts.Therefore,the design process of high school geography concept teaching based on deep learning is constructed,which includes acquiring new knowledge,deep processing knowledge,evaluation and reflection.According to this process,the case design of the lesson "Adapting to Local Conditions and Regional Development" was carried out in three parallel classes of Grade 2,3 and 4 of Kaifeng Senior High School.The implementation effect was analyzed from three aspects of classroom observation,evaluation scale and mind map.It was found that with the continuous improvement of teaching design,students’ learning enthusiasm and classroom participation were improved.Students’ information integration ability,critical thinking ability and transfer application ability have been enhanced.Based on relevant research and teaching practice and reflection,this paper puts forward some suggestions on the design of high school geography concept teaching based on deep learning:(1)Determine hierarchical concept learning objectives based on curriculum standards and learning conditions;(2)Create a good learning atmosphere to stimulate students’ learning enthusiasm;(3)Use teaching methods skillfully to deepen the understanding of geographical concepts;(4)Using mind maps to construct deep connections between concepts;(5)Promote the sublimation of geographical concepts by connecting with the reality of life;(6)Diversification of evaluation and emphasis on learning and teaching reflection.The innovation of this paper lies in the innovation of research perspective.Through literature reading,it is found that there are many researches on deep learning and geography concept teaching,but there are few researches on geography concept teaching guided by deep learning theory,and the existing relevant researches lack the discussion on teaching design path.Based on the existing research and teaching status,this paper constructs the teaching design path of high school geography concept based on deep learning,carries out the case design and implementation of the lesson "Adapting to Local Conditions and Regional Development",and analyzes the implementation effect.On the basis of summary and reflection,this paper puts forward some teaching suggestions to promote the deep learning of geography concept for high school students,in order to provide teaching reference for front-line teachers and improve the teaching effect of geography concept through this study.Therefore,the research perspective is innovative to some extent. |
