| The core quality of Chinese students’ development includes six aspects--cultural heritage, scientific spirit, learning, healthy life, responsibility, practice and innovation. Its main purpose is to cultivate "all-round development of people",and the realization of this goal has obvious interdisciplinary. Moreover, the solution of various problems faced by mankind cannot be realized by a pure discipline alone. Therefore,it is very necessary for schools to carry out interdisciplinary teaching both from the perspective of cultivating students’ core qualities and from the perspective of scientific cognition of the real world.Project-based learning is a comprehensive way of learning, whose characteristics coincide with the interdisciplinary teaching concept. The two are the reform of the traditional curriculum structure and teaching method, and the challenge to the logic of solidified knowledge. They both emphasize the cultivation of students’ core qualities and are highly consistent in the aspect of educating people. Therefore, this paper attempts to design and study the interdisciplinary teaching of geography in junior high school by adopting the curriculum pattern of project-based learning, taking project implementation as the bright line of classroom teaching, and taking the improvement of students’ interdisciplinary thinking, independent thinking ability, problem solving ability and core quality as the dark line of classroom teaching,so as to explore the realization path of interdisciplinary teaching. In order to provide reference for teachers to carry out geography interdisciplinary theme learning activities. This paper mainly adopts the method of literature research, questionnaire survey, practice research and interview.First of all, literature related to project-based learning and interdisciplinary teaching is collected and analyzed to determine the research background and significance as well as the research methods and ideas adopted in this paper.Second,it defines the core concepts of "interdisciplinary teaching","project-based learning" and "interdisciplinary project-based teaching",and expounds the theoretical basis involved in this paper.Thirdly, through questionnaire survey,we investigate the interdisciplinary project-based teaching of geography teachers in junior high school.Based on the survey results,we analyze the practical basis and feasibility of the interdisciplinary project-based teaching of geography in junior high school.Fourthly, based on relevant theoretical research,a framework of interdisciplinary geography teaching design in junior middle school based on project-based learning is constructed. On this basis, cases are designed and implemented.Combined with my own research practice, design suggestions for effective implementation of interdisciplinary geography teaching are put forward. Finally, summarize the main research conclusions, innovations, deficiencies and prospects of this paper. The survey found that teachers have a strong awareness of interdisciplinary teaching in daily teaching,a considerable degree of acceptance of interdisciplinary project-based teaching, and a high degree of recognition of its value, which laid a foundation for the implementation of interdisciplinary project-based teaching in junior middle school geography. However, there are also many challenges for teachers to carry out interdisciplinary project-based teaching: lack of theoretical guidance, insufficient teaching resources mining, limited teaching time, poor acceptance ability of students and insufficient reserves of teachers’ interdisciplinary knowledge and ability. In terms of theoretical research, according to the relevant theoretical research of "project-based learning" and "interdisciplinary teaching",a framework of interdisciplinary teaching design of junior high school geography based on project-based learning is constructed. The framework is mainly divided into five links:(1)Select the subject of interdisciplinary project-based learning;(2)Develop interdisciplinary project-based learning objectives;(3)Design interdisciplinary project-based learning activities;(4)Producing and displaying interdisciplinary project results;(5)Implementing interdisciplinary project-based learning evaluation. Then, according to the design framework, the teaching case of "My hometown--Kaifeng" is developed. In the aspect of practical research, the online teaching practice was conducted in the affiliated middle School of Henan University. After the practice, the evaluation scale filled in by students was analyzed, and the results of interviews with teachers and students were combined to conclude that interdisciplinary project-based learning(1)is beneficial to stimulate students’ interest in learning;(2)Help students to understand and master the core knowledge of geography;(3)It is conducive to cultivating students’ interdisciplinary thinking and improving their comprehensive ability;(4)It is conducive to cultivating students’ core qualities.Combined with my own research practice, this paper puts forward some suggestions on the interdisciplinary teaching design of junior high school geography based on project-based learning:(1)select open and real interdisciplinary project themes;(2)Develop interdisciplinary project-based learning objectives according to the curriculum standards;(3)The driving problem of high quality design;(4)Organize interdisciplinary teaching content in an advanced way;(5)Evaluate students’ learning process and results in a diversified way.Through reading the literature,I found more research on project-based learning or interdisciplinary teaching only.Although scholars begin to realize that project-based learning is an effective way to carry out interdisciplinary teaching, and gradually carry out the exploration of interdisciplinary teaching based on project-based learning, there are still few researches on this aspect, and even fewer researches on the interdisciplinary project-based teaching of geography.Based on the relevant theoretical research of project-based learning and interdisciplinary teaching, this paper constructs the framework of interdisciplinary teaching design based on project-based learning, and takes "my hometown--Kaifeng" as an example for teaching design and implementation.Based on the summary and reflection, this paper puts forward the proposal of interdisciplinary teaching design of junior middle school geography based on project-based learning. |
