| Spinal Muscular Atrophy(SMA),a disease of muscle weakness and even atrophy caused by a genetic mutation in neurons,is an uncommon hereditary neuromuscular disease.Due to the rarity of the disease, the lack of domestic experience in the treatment of spinal muscular atrophy, the relatively basic means of rehabilitation, and the inadequate medical policies, the disease brings not only financial pressure to the patients, but also psychological pressure, care pressure, and family relationship problems.Patients suffer not only from the physical effects of the disease itself, but also from the psychological effects of low self-worth caused by stigma and social exclusion. At present, the domestic research on spinal muscular atrophy basically stays in the medical field. Therefore,it is very necessary to study and intervene in the physical and mental aspects of spinal muscular atrophy patients and their families. In this study, patients with spinal muscular atrophy and their families were selected as intervention subjects.Semi-structured interview method was used to collect data and information about parent-child communication problems in families of service subjects, and the data and information were sorted and analyzed.Through the interview with the client,it was found that the main reason for the family’s communication problems was the pressure brought by the disease and the low self-esteem of the patients with spinal muscular atrophy. This study takes the Satya family therapy model as theoretical and practical guidance, and uses professional technologies to provide social work intervention services to help patients and their family members reduce their excessive anxiety about the disease. Moreover, technologies such as iceberg model, family tree drawing and interactive components are used to break the existing bad communication posture of the family and help family members understand each other.Form a healthy communication posture, establish the external and internal consistent communication mode, for the development of individual high self-esteem to provide a good family environment, form a harmonious family atmosphere, promote the family to form benign interaction. The study evaluated the effect of intervention through process evaluation and outcome evaluation, and reached the conclusion that the intervention of family parent-child communication problems in patients with spinal muscular atrophy with the Satya family therapy model was effective. At the end of this paper, the reflection and reflection on this intervention were put forward, and more possibilities of social work intervention for patients with spinal muscular atrophy were discussed. |
