The health status of elementary and middle school students is crucial to the future development of the country,yet physical health problems such as overweight,obesity,and myopia plague many children.More and more junior high school students are in a subhealthy state,and it is urgent to improve their physical health.In the process of implementing physical education in primary and secondary schools,paying attention to students’ health to improve their physical fitness has become an important issue,and many scholars have done a lot of research and exploration on the practice methods and means.Through the search of data,it is found that the effect of different sports to improve students’ interest in learning and exercise and to promote students’ physical health is very significant.Therefore,this study attempts to integrate cheerleading into the after-school training of junior high school students,and promote the improvement of students’ physical fitness through changes in training contents and methods.In this study,40 students from Beijing Haidian Foreign Language Experimental School(Jingbei Campus)were trained in cheerleading after school for twelve weeks,and the changes of students’ physical fitness before and after cheerleading training were analyzed by literature,Delphi method,experimental method,mathematical and statistical method,and logical analysis method.1.the improvement of speed quality and strength quality of the experimental group before and after the experiment had a very significant difference(P < 0.01);the improvement of flexibility quality of the experimental group of boys had a significant difference(P < 0.05),and the improvement of flexibility quality of the experimental group of girls had a very significant difference(P < 0.01);the improvement of endurance quality did not show a significant difference(P > 0.05).2.The improvement of speed quality and strength quality of the control group before and after the experiment was significantly different(P < 0.05);the improvement of flexibility quality of the boys in the control group was not significantly different(P >0.05),and the improvement of flexibility quality of the girls in the control group was significantly different(P < 0.05);the improvement of endurance quality was not significantly different(P > 0.05).3.The improvement of speed quality,strength quality and flexibility quality between the experimental group and the control group before and after the experiment was very significantly different(P < 0.01);the improvement of endurance quality was not significantly different(P > 0.05).Statistical analysis of the experimental data from the results obtained led to the following conclusions:1.cheerleading exercise is beneficial to the improvement of speed quality and strength quality of junior high school boys,and the effect is significant.2.cheerleading exercise for junior high school boys and girls to improve the effect of flexibility quality there are differences,for boys flexibility quality has a significant improvement effect,for girls flexibility quality has a very significant improvement effect.3.Cheerleading sports did not produce significant improvement effect on the endurance quality of junior high school boys and girls.
