Since the implementation of the History Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education by the Ministry of Education in 2022,the new curriculum standards have become the focus of history educators.Among the core qualities of history discipline,historical interpretation is the first choice for research.After investigation,it was found that the Ministry of Education had put forward the concept of cultivating students’ historical interpretation literacy as early as 2013,but it was only limited to senior high school.Cultivating historical interpretation literacy was widely used in senior high school and was rarely mentioned in junior high school.The level of historical interpretation literacy that junior high school students should initially possess is generally not high,so it is very difficult to narrate and explain history.This is not only the problem of junior high school students themselves,but also the problem of teachers’ lack of in-depth understanding and application of historical interpretation literacy.The junior high school stage is the initial stage for students to learn history.Junior high school students should initially master the ability to understand history,narrate history and explain history.Only by improving their quality can junior high school students form correct historical thinking and historical value,and accumulate for future history learning.To sum up,how to improve teachers’ understanding of historical interpretation literacy and cultivate junior high school students’ historical interpretation literacy is the focus of this study.This paper consists of four parts.The first part,related concepts,explains the value of cultivating the quality of historical interpretation;The second part is the relationship between the "material study" module and the cultivation of historical interpretation literacy;The third part is the teaching implementation of cultivating junior high school students’ historical interpretation literacy by using the "material study" module;The fourth part expounds the effect of using the "material study" module to cultivate junior high school students’ historical interpretation literacy,and reflects and summarizes the problems in teaching practice.After research,this paper not only points out that junior high school students should have the ability of historical interpretation literacy initially,but also points out the strategy of using the "material study" module to cultivate junior high school students’ historical interpretation literacy.The innovation of this article is to use the "material study" module to cultivate junior high school students’ historical interpretation literacy,and apply the module to teaching to help junior high school students initially develop their historical interpretation literacy.The "material study" module is widely distributed in the textbook and has substantial content.This module not only helps junior high school students better understand and memorize historical knowledge,but also stimulates junior high school students’ interest in learning history,and also cultivates junior high school students’ historical thinking and historical interpretation literacy.It is an important material for teachers’ teaching and junior high school students’ learning,and is also a carrier for cultivating junior high school students’ historical interpretation literacy.It provides important reference and reference for the cultivation of junior high school students’ historical interpretation literacy.
