| In the process of global education reform,students are required to have the ability of deep learning,so as to effectively cope with complex environment,analyze and solve practical problems,promote growth in their own ability and enhance social development.Deep learning is a comprehensive ability with high cognitive level,and it is also the direction of the new curriculum reform.Therefore,how to cultivate students’ deep learning ability in the teaching of specific subject is one of the research topics.This study explores the feasibility and practical strategies of using PBL teaching mode to promote students’ deep learning ability through case studies in chemistry teaching practice.It is hoped that this paper can enrich the research theory of PBL teaching mode and deep learning ability in chemistry classroom,and provide teaching cases and research references for front-line teachers to cultivate students’ deep learning ability.First of all,in order to explore the influence of project based learning on students’ deep learning ability,this paper analyzes the domestic and foreign literature based on the literature research method,and summarizes the concepts,characteristics and research directions of project based learning and deep learning ability.Secondly,applying questionnaire method,this paper makes an in-depth investigation on the current situation of the development of high school students’ deep learning ability and the training of teachers.It is found that most students’ learning is at the low level of thinking,and teachers’ awareness of cultivating deep learning ability is weak,and there is no systematic teaching strategy.Therefore,in view of the practical problems,based on the Piaget-Biggs deep learning evaluation index and the triple jump evaluation theory,PBL teaching cases are designed and educational practice research is carried out,which are both in line with the new curriculum standard of high school chemistry and with the aim to cultivate high school students’ deep learning ability in chemistry.After a semester of project based learning in the experimental class,relevant data were collected for quantitative analysis and qualitative research.The results of the questionnaire on deep learning ability show that the ability in chemistry and its five dimensions of the experimental class students have been significantly improved after the experiment;the students in the experimental group are at a higher level of deep learning ability than those in the control group according to the results of the experiment.At the same time,in the chemistry test based on the investigation of deep learning ability at the end of the semester,the scores of the experimental class were better than those of the control class significantly.It shows that project based learning can effectively improve students’ deep learning ability and optimize students’ classroom performance. |
