| The theory of caring moral education emerged in the United States in the mid-1980 s and was proposed by Nel Noddings,an American educator.She has made a series of suggestions and recommendations for educational reform: cultivating well-rounded students,emphasizing the importance of caring in students’ growth and development,cultivating caring teachers and students,focusing on students’ feedback,creating a caring community between teachers and students,and teaching the theme of caring.This is achieved through role modeling,dialogue,practice,and recognition,which means that teachers set examples for students by example,listen to each other’s thoughts and feelings through mutual communication,develop experience and skills in practice,and build trust in caring.In addition,Noddings discusses the relational,affective,and continuity characteristics of the moral theory of caring,where the relational nature refers to the interdependence of the carer and the cared for and is the focus of Noddings’ emphasis.Starting from the theoretical sources such as the social transformation of the United States,the educational reform movement and the rise of the feminist movement in the world,and existentialist philosophy,this paper systematically arranges the theory of caring for moral education,and combs the importance of caring for moral education proposed by Noddings,the implementation methods and characteristics of caring for moral education,as well as the value and limitations of moral education.By means of questionnaire,this paper finds out the status quo of college students’ concern for education and the problems and reasons for the existence of moral education in colleges,and discusses that the concept of the moral education of Noddings is of reference to enrich and perfect the moral education of Chinese university,and then explores the possibility and feasibility of the application of the theory of concern to the moral education of Chinese university.The university’s moral education theory puts forward a similar method to our country’s moral education,but the method and content are different.So the author makes critical reference to the theory of the moral education in order to enrich the theory of the moral education.From the perspective of concern,the thesis applies some viewpoints and methods of the theory of concern for moral education of Noddings,and combines with the current situation of the lack of concern for moral education in Chinese universities,and puts forward four ideas: establishing the idea of moral education including concern,cultivating the caring relationship between teachers and students,and establishing the content of experiential moral education;Cultivate the moral education process with caring as the starting point,respect students’ differences,use example and dialogue to care for students;Optimize the good atmosphere of caring as the starting point,build a good school atmosphere,family atmosphere and social atmosphere.The purpose of this paper is to try to combine Noddings’ concern for moral education theory with some experimental research on moral education reform in China’s colleges and universities,hoping to enrich the theory of moral education in China’s colleges and universities and have a positive impact on the development of moral education in colleges and universities. |
