| The COVID-19 pandemic has posed severe challenges to the world’s economic and political development,and further intensified the trend against globalization.At the beginning of the novel coronavirus outbreak,higher education internationalization of our country is facing unprecedented difficulties,influenced by policies of various countries restricting mobility,and the breadth and depth of opening to the outside world was seriously restricted.The epidemic has forced reflection,and the cross-border restrictions on the training of international talents in universities have triggered people’s thinking and research on the current training mode of international talents.At the same time,the practice and development of online education technology and the advancement of the research on the concept of local internationalization have brought new opportunities for the transformation and upgrading of the cultivation path of international talents in higher education.In the post-epidemic era,in the face of complex international situation,fierce international competition and the full recovery of economic construction,high-level international talents are in high demand.As the main front of international talent training,universities should continue to promote the reform and improvement of international talent training strategy and improve the quality of international talent training.With the title of "Research on the Current Situation and Optimization of international Talents training in Chinese universities in the post-epidemic Era",this paper takes N University as the case,comprehensively uses various research methods such as literature research,questionnaire survey and interview,and closely focuses on the core issue of the dilemma and outlet of international talents training in colleges and universities in the post-epidemic era.Based on the historical background of China’s internationalization of higher education,this paper further defines the significance of optimizing the training of international personnel in the post-COVID-19 era to national strategic development and enhancing the international competitiveness of universities.On this basis,this paper reviews the development context of the training of international talents in colleges and universities in our country,and based on the text and practice exploration of the development policy for Chinese higher education internationalization,divides the training of international talents in colleges and universities into the initial exploration stage based on overseas education,the perfecting development stage based on multi-dimensional development and the connotation stage based on innovation and upgrading.This paper summarizes and analyzes the three main modes of cross-border international talents training,Chinese-foreign cooperation in running schools and local international talents training.On the basis of the above analysis,based on the motivation theory of internationalization of higher education,combined with the characteristics of the development of international talents training in colleges and universities under the background of the post-epidemic era,this paper puts forward the optimal motivation for the cultivation of international talents in colleges and universities in the post-epidemic era--challenges and opportunities for the cultivation of international talents in colleges and universities.In order to have a deeper understanding of the current situation of international talent training in colleges and universities in the post-epidemic era,this study selected N University as a case study and conducted a comprehensive analysis on the development progress,difficulties and path expansion of international talent training in N University on the basis of investigation and research.It is found that in recent years,the scale and quality of the training of international talents in Chinese universities have been greatly improved,and great progress has been made in the education of international students in China,the building of international teaching staff,and the expansion of international exchange and cooperation programs.But generally speaking,There are still problems such as the quality of international talent training to be comprehensively improved,unbalanced development,and difficulties in international talent training under the background of COVID-19.In the face of the special background of the training of international talents in colleges and universities in the post-epidemic era and various problems existing in the current training of international talents,this study puts forward the trend,basic principles and optimization strategies of the training of international talents in colleges and universities in the post-epidemic era.In terms of the future trend of talents training in universities and colleges,it is necessary to take global governance as the direction,concept innovation as the lead and information technology as the basis,and strive to create a new situation of international talents training in universities and colleges that adapt to the development of post-epidemic era.At the same time,the cultivation of international talents in colleges and universities should adhere to the basic principles of initiative,universality,emphasis and integrity,start from the core elements of the cultivation of international talents,and try to explore the strategy of improving and optimizing the quality of the cultivation of international talents based on the environment,with teachers as the core,courses as the foundation and evaluation as the guarantee.In order to provide some thoughts on the quality improvement of international talents training in Chinese universities in the post-epidemic era. |
