Abstract/Summary:
With the rapid development of urbanization,the scale of rural population is increasing.In 2020,the number of children of China’s migrant population reached130 million,including 71.09 million migrant children.Migration causes these children to leave the familiar living environment and lose the original peer support.Faced with the unfamiliar city and the unfamiliar environment,migrant children will have psychological problems such as fear and resistance,which will directly affect the peer communication ability and hinder migrant children’s integration into the city.Moreover,due to the lack of peer communication ability,migrant children are prone to problems such as poor language and poor expression ability.Such a vicious circle makes them face many difficulties in interpersonal communication and great tests on their physical and mental development.Therefore,the research on the improvement of migrant children’s peer communication ability is of great significance.This study aims to improve the peer communication ability of migrant children.Under the guidance of social learning theory,combined with the developmental characteristics of children at school age,the work mode of picture book reading group is used to carry out 6 group activities for migrant children.After the end of the group service,the effect of the group activity was evaluated through the questionnaire before and after the group activity and the evaluation form of the group activity,and the effectiveness of the picture book reading group on the improvement of the peer communication ability of the migrant children was further tested.The results showed that the communication confidence,attitude,willingness and communication skills of the migrant children were significantly enhanced.Migrant children’s peer communication ability has been improved.The results of the study draw the following basic conclusions: First,group services with picture book reading as the theme can adapt to the needs of migrant children in terms of peer communication;Second,social learning theory and awakening education theory have important value in the service of floating children.Finally,in the study and reflection,three optimization suggestions on how to improve the service quality of migrant children’s peer communication ability have been put forward: first,to create and promote durable professional services,and integrate professional services into the campus life of migrant children;Secondly,it is necessary to standardize evidence-based practice to carry out picture book reading services;Third,the implementation of regular return visit assessment,in order to effectively solve the migrant children’s peer communication problems.
