Background: As an important part of Chinese national traditional sports,Tai Chi Chuan fitness effects have been scientifically confirmed in many aspects. However, during the spread of Tai Chi Chuan, some practitioners reported that knee joint pain occurred during exercise, and these pain patients were mainly concentrated in the beginner group.Purpose: This study uses the biomechanical research method to study the biomechanical data of the control group and the pain group in the four typical movements of Chen-style Tai Chi Chuan practiced by college students’ beginners, namely,"Yemafenzong,Daojuangong,Danbian,Lanzhayi",and analyze the potential factors of knee joint pain in the pain group. Methods: The minimum sample size is 14 people calculated by G * Power3.1software.This experiment recruited 26 college students. The subjects were investigated by Lysholm knee joint scale and VAS visual simulation scale.According to the grouping criteria,13 subjects were included in the control group and 13 subjects were included in the pain group. The biomechanical data of the four typical movements of Chen-style Tai Chi Chuan were collected by using the Vicon three-dimensional motion capture system and the AMTI three-dimensional dynamometer, and the independent sample T test and Pearson correlation test were performed.Results:(1)The locus of centroid on the horizontal plane in the pain group was higher than that in the control group; The centroid position of the pain group in the sagittal plane was higher than that of the control group in the action of rolling back the humerus and lazily tying clothes;(2)Among the 24 indexes of the range of motion of the hip joint,9 indexes in the pain group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05);The range of motion of hip joint was positively correlated with Lysholm score;(3)The peak angle of knee adduction in the coronary plane in the pain group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05);(4)The contribution rate of lower limb work of the two groups of subjects was knee joint>hip joint>ankle joint; There were significant differences in 8 of the 24 indexes of the contribution rate of lower limb joint work(P<0.05),mainly in the knee joint;(5)Among the 108 indexes of lower limb stiffness,43 indexes in the pain group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05),mainly in the support leg and knee joint;Lower limb stiffness was negatively correlated with Lysholm score;(6)Among the 28 indexes of peak knee adduction moment,13 indexes in the pain group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05);The peak value of knee adduction moment was negatively correlated with Lysholm score;(7)At the characteristic moment of maximum knee flexion, the flexion angle in sagittal plane of the pain group was significantly smaller, and the flexion force and body anteversion angle were significantly greater than those of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion: In the pain group, there are the following potential risks in the movement characteristics of lower limb joints during the exercise of Chen-style Tai Chi Chuan:(1)The knee joint adduction angle, adduction torque, lower limb stiffness and work contribution rate are too high;(2)The range of motion of the hip joint is insufficient, and the ankle joint is in a pronation state as a whole;(3)The maximum knee bending feature of the support leg is that the body is too forward at any time. Therefore, the pain group should adjust the exercise strategy, focus on the participation of the hip joint in the exercise, reduce the peak value of the knee adduction torque to relieve the knee stiffness, and avoid the knee pain caused by relying too much on the knee joint to complete the exercise task. |
