Research Purpose: To explore whether blended learning is suitable for college football general education courses,verify the applicability and advantages of blended learning in college football general education courses,enrich teaching methods for university physical education football general education courses,improve teaching quality,design teaching plans for traditional teaching methods and blended learning methods for the football general education course at the S College of Physical Education,and conduct teaching experiments and practices to compare the learning effects of student physical fitness,theoretical learning,skill learning,performance in regular classes,and overall grades between the two teaching methods.Evaluation feedback will be obtained through a questionnaire survey after the course.Research Methods: The research mainly utilizes methods such as literature review,questionnaire survey,experiments,expert interviews,and mathematical analysis.Blended learning in college football general education courses is the research object,and 48 physical education majors from two male football classes at the S College of Physical Education are selected as the subjects for the study.They are randomly divided into an experimental class and a control class.After completing the pre-test class adjustment and carefully designing the course implementation plan,the experimental class adopts blended learning for teaching,while the control class adopts traditional teaching methods.After 12 weeks and 48 class hours of teaching practice,the experimental results of the two teaching methods in terms of physical fitness(long jump,30-meter sprint,5x25-meter shuttle run),football skills(dribbling around cones,heading,chest trapping),theoretical grades,regular class grades,and overall grades are statistically analyzed using independent sample t-test and paired sample t-test.Study results: Physical fitness: there was no significant difference between the three physical fitness indicators of the two classes in the previous test(p> 0.05),and the two classes were at the same level,and both were above the passing level.After the test,the experimental class and the control class showed significant differences in long jump,30 m,5*25 m and total physical fitness scores(p <0.05),and the experimental class was better than the control class;the physical fitness scores before and after the experimental class showed significant differences(p <0.05),significantly better than the pretest;the test was only 5*25 m(p <0.05);the posttest had no significant difference in long jump,30 m and total score(p> 0.05),but the posttest mean was better than the pretest.Football skills: in the pretest,there was no significant difference between the experimental class and the control class(p> 0.05);in the posttest,the two classes had a significant difference(p <0.05),the experimental class is better than the control class;the two classes showed a significant difference(p<0.05),and the posttest is better than the pretest.Theoretical performance,the experimental class and the control class were significantly different(p <0.05),and the experimental class was significantly better than the control class.Normal grades:there is no significant difference between the two classes(p> 0.05).Total score: there was a significant difference between the experimental class and the control class(p<0.05),and the experimental class was better than the control class.Questionnaire survey: students have a good understanding of the learning degree and importance of theoretical knowledge,a good overall learning attitude,a high satisfaction with football class,have a significant improvement in emotional sublimation,and put forward the improvement reference for the deficiencies.Research Conclusions:(1)The blended teaching method can be applied to the teaching of football as a general course in universities,and is generally superior to traditional teaching methods.The research hypothesis is valid.Through the experimental practice of S Sports College,it has been proven that the blended teaching method has a significant improvement effect on the physical fitness,football skills,and football theory of the experimental class students,and is superior to the control class of the traditional teaching method in total scores.It can be seen that it can be applied to football teaching as a general course in universities.(2)The blended teaching method has a certain effect on improving physical fitness.In the post test,the results of Standing long jump and 30 meter run in the experimental class were significantly better than those in the control class;In the pre and post physical fitness tests,the experimental class showed significant differences in all three indicators,while the control class only showed significant differences in the 5 * 25 meter turn back running indicators.(3)The blended teaching method has a significant effect on improving football skills.In the post test,all indicators of the experimental class were better than those of the control class;In the pre and post tests,the post tests of both classes showed significant improvement compared to the pre test.(4)The blended teaching method is significantly superior to traditional teaching methods in theoretical learning.In the teaching experiment,there was a significant difference in the theoretical test scores between the two classes,and the experimental class outperformed the teaching class.
