| The "Guidelines for Quality Assessment of Kindergarten Care Education" issued by the Ministry of Education in 2022 mentions the key indicators of "safety protection".The country has always attached great importance to the safety protection of young children in kindergartens, and has put forward clear requirements for "safety protection" in a series of laws and regulations. However, due to the high incidence of safety accidents in outdoor activities, teachers have taken excessive safety protection measures, resulting in young children not being able to fully participate in activities.Based on this, this study focuses on the safety protection of outdoor activities in kindergartens.Guided by behaviorist learning theory and the Heinrich safety principle, this study uses literature analysis, observation, and interview methods to extract key points from the "Safety Protection" section of the "Evaluation Guide",and conducts research on three dimensions:children’s safety self-care behavior, teachers’ safety protection work, and safety management. This study conducted on-site observations on the safety protection work of W Kindergarten and S Kindergarten in T City through observation, and selected 21 teachers from two sample kindergartens as interview subjects. The safety of equipment and venues was evaluated using the "Outdoor Game Field Evaluation Scale".Based on the collected data and cases, analyze and study the current situation of safety protection for outdoor activities in kindergartens.Based on the current situation of safety protection for outdoor activities in kindergartens, identify the main problems that exist, and deeply analyze the causes of the problems in outdoor activity safety protection in kindergartens from three aspects: the physical and mental development characteristics of children, the safety literacy of teachers, and the loopholes in kindergarten safety management. The key reasons are as follows:(1)The self-care behavior of young children: immature physical development and susceptibility to harm during activities;Poor coordination of movements and weak self-care ability;Lack of safety awareness and insufficient awareness of self-protection;Emotional development is unstable and it is easy to overlook the surrounding environment;Self centered, conflicting behaviors often occur.(2)The safety protection work of teachers: the safety inspection is not meticulous, and there are hidden dangers in the equipment and venue;Lack of safety knowledge and failure to eliminate hidden dangers in a timely manner;Insufficient professional ability and low effectiveness of safety education.(3)Safety management: There is little exploration of equipment safety, and there are risks in children’s activities;Inadequate site protection and loopholes in the protection of young children;Neglecting safety training results in inadequate protection work for teachers.Based on the above reasons, this study proposes some improvement measures.Firstly, organize rich sports games, help young children identify dangers, strengthen safety education for young children, regulate their sports emotions, and establish their awareness of rules;Secondly, teachers should increase their investigation efforts, learn safety knowledge, and adopt effective safety education; Finally, managers should improve equipment construction, strengthen safety inspections, and increase the frequency of safety training. |
