Compared to moral and legal education in primary and secondary schools,ideological and political education in universities is different because college students already have a certain amount of knowledge reserves and their psychological development tends to be mature.At the same time,with the development of society,traditional indoctrination theories are no longer fully adapted to the practical needs of university students,and students’ subjective consciousness is constantly increasing.This requires that ideological and political education in universities be more infectious and innovative.Infection education plays an important role in ideological and political education in universities,but there are still shortcomings in practical operation.The application of infection education in ideological and political education in universities refers to the creation of diverse educational scenarios by university teachers,allowing students to be invisibly influenced.This is not only beneficial for improving the effectiveness of ideological and political education in universities,but also for promoting the comprehensive development of students.The author first elaborated on the connotation of infection education and grasped the characteristics of infection education.Secondly,three types of infection education were analyzed: image infection,art infection,and group infection.Thirdly,it summarizes the problems faced by the application of infection education in ideological and political education in universities:insufficient exploration of infection education resources in some universities,low enthusiasm of some university students to participate in infection education,inappropriate utilization of infection education channels and carriers in some universities,and some shortcomings in environmental creation.In addition,the main reasons for the problems faced were summarized: some educators need to improve their own self-cultivation,some university students lack subjective initiative in infection education,the development of infection education channels and carriers in some universities is insufficient,and the ideological and political education environment is impacted by adverse factors.Finally,this paper analyzes the ways to enhance the effectiveness of ideological and political education in universities from four perspectives:educators,recipients,educational carriers,and educational environment.Overall,the application of infection education in ideological and political education in universities is a reflection of the implementation of the “people-oriented” education concept,which helps to better achieve the fundamental task of cultivating morality and talents in universities.University educators should flexibly use various resources and carriers to achieve emotional communication with students,so that students can identify with ideological and political education from the heart,and effectively enhance the effectiveness of ideological and political education.
