STEAM education emerged from European and American countries at the end of last century.Its characteristics are interdisciplinary and comprehensive.Interdisciplinary talents are becoming more and more important with the continuous development of our country and society.And as everyone knows,it is the stage of rapid growth of students’ knowledge and skills at high school.So if we can educate students with STEAM theory at high school,students will not only combine knowledge with practice,but also develop their own expertise and interpersonal skills in the team.This paper first obtains the research basis and theoretical basis for the school-based curriculum construction based on STEAM theory through literature analysis.Then questionnaire survey was conducted among senior high school students in Nanjing.The purpose of the questionnaire survey is to understand students’ mastery of the integration of science,technology,engineering,art and mathematics,and to analyze students’ realistic needs for the construction of school-based curriculum based on STEAM theory.Interviews with teachers of corresponding subjects to understand their awareness and recognition of the development of this curriculum.Evaluatting the feasibility of curriculum implementation comprehensively through the investigation and analysis of the needs of social development of this course.Based on the investigation and theoretical basis of the course construction,the course objectives,content,implementation and evaluation framework of the course "The Design of Voice-Controlled vehicles" are constructed.The school-based teaching plan was finally completed based on the course content design of school-based courses and related research on voice-controlled vehicles.And appropriate content was selected for the implementation of the teaching and the case study.It is found that it has a certain effect on the improvement of students’ comprehensive performance through the course research.Both students and teachers are interested in the curriculum,but some schools’ hardware facilities are not enough to practice comprehensive curriculum.It is expected to lay a foundation for the development of STEAM education in more directions and the cultivation of interdisciplinary comprehensive talents in the future.
