Enhancing geography fieldwork is the development trend of geography education in the new era.The General High School Geography Curriculum Standards(revised in2017 and 2020)emphasize the need to strengthen geography practice and carry out geography practical activities in teaching in many places,such as the basic concept,teaching and evaluation suggestions,and suggestions for local and school implementation of this curriculum.As an important form of geography practical activities,geography fieldwork breaks the traditional classroom mode of "sitting and talking" and is an important way to implement the cultivation of geography practical power,but it is still in the exploration and development stage in China.Through this paper,we hope to enrich the theoretical results of the design principles,process and content of high school geography field trip activities,and provide reference for the practice of high school geography field trip activities.Guided by constructivist learning theory,embodied cognition theory,activity curriculum theory and learning pyramid theory,this paper uses content analysis,case study,fieldwork and interview methods to study the principles that should be followed in the design of high school geography field trip activities,analyzes the General High School Geography Curriculum Standards(2017 edition revised in 2020)as well as the2019 reviewed and approved Human Education Edition The contents of high school geography textbooks that are suitable for geography field trip activities,the characteristics of high school geography field trip activity design are proposed,and the design process of high school geography field trip activities is constructed.Finally,taking the regional characteristics of the target school location as the theme,the activity was designed based on the geography teaching resources in and outside the memorial hall of the 5·12 Wenchuan earthquake.The following main conclusions are drawn from the study:(1)the standards and textbooks are the basic basis for regulating the design of high school geography field trip activities,and the content selection of high school geography field trip activities should be related to the standards and textbooks;(2)the design of high school geography field trip activities contains three major features,namely,the content is related to classroom teaching,the activities reflect student participation,and the problem creation stimulates student inquiry;(3)geography field trips in high school should follow the principles of student subjectivity,safety,feasibility,locality and practicality,and be designed according to the process of "clarifying the topic of the trip-determining the goal of the trip-selecting the contents of the trip-preparing the organization and arrangement-designing the process of the trip-formulating the evaluation of the trip";(4)field trip theme and activity question design is the central issue in the design of geography field trip activities,and attention should be paid to hierarchy and inspiration in the design of activity questions to enhance the attractiveness of teaching activities.
