Abstract/Summary:
With the rapid development of the global economy and the comprehensive progress of science and technology,the cultivation and demand for innovative talents have become increasingly prominent.Creativity has become a key ability that21st-century talents must possess.The core of the OBE concept is to enhance the focus on learning outcomes and the improvement of higher-order abilities.The development of college students’ design thinking ability based on the OBE concept provides new ideas for promoting the cultivation of college students’ collaborative problem-solving ability,reflective critical ability,practical ability,innovation ability,good morals,and creative personality in the new era.Therefore,exploring the learning activity design and practice of cultivating college students’ design thinking under the OBE concept has a positive role in the reform of university classroom teaching,such as teaching space-time construction,teacher-student relationship,teaching interaction,and diverse evaluation,in order to promote effective learning for college students.This paper focuses on the research of the "Application of Information Teaching Environment," a compulsory course for undergraduate students in teacher education majors at Northwest Normal University.The main content includes the following aspects: The first part is a comprehensive review of the relevant important concepts,theoretical basis of research,and domestic and foreign literature on the OBE concept and design thinking,laying the theoretical foundation for the research.The second part discusses the educational value of design thinking and its appropriateness with the OBE concept from the perspectives of the course nature,learner characteristics,course resources,and Moodle platform environment support for the "Application of Information Teaching Environment." The principles of cultivating college students’ design thinking based on the OBE concept are summarized,and the components of the activity framework for design thinking cultivation under the guidance of the OBE concept are analyzed in detail from the aspects of defining outcome objectives,determining ability indicators,organizing teaching content,forming learning activity matrix,establishing learning themes,and conducting learning evaluations.The third part is the teaching design and practical application of the "Application of Information Teaching Environment" course case based on the learning activity framework proposed in the third part,constantly revising and optimizing the learning activity framework.The fourth part is the teaching effect research and countermeasure thinking of design thinking cultivation from multiple dimensions,aiming to improve college students’ design thinking ability,information technology application skills,and overall quality.Practice has proved that implementing theme-based,exploratory,and design learning in course teaching can enhance students’ enthusiasm for learning,help college students understand knowledge and master skills,and provide some reference value for the learning activity design and practice research of cultivating college students’ design thinking under the OBE concept.
