| The newly promulgated Geography Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022 Edition)points out that "Geography is the study of the geographic environment and the relationship between human activities and the geographic environment, and is comprehensive and regional in nature." It also emphasizes that the core literacy to be cultivated in the geography curriculum includes four parts:human-earth coordination, integrated thinking, regional cognition, and geographic practicality. In the latest version of the curriculum standards integrated thinking refers to people’s comprehensive way of thinking and ability to understand the geographical environment and the relationship between people and places. How to cultivate students’ integrated thinking in geography through the learning of subject knowledge has become a key issue in the new round of curriculum reform.Nearly a year after the release of the new curriculum standards, the research on the four parts of geography core literacy needs to be urgently expanded, most scholars’ research is aimed at high school geography and high school students, and there is less literature, theoretical and practical research related to the cultivation of integrated thinking at the junior high school level,so this paper focuses on the strategy of cultivating integrated thinking literacy in geography for junior high school students.By reading a lot of literature and consulting related materials and books, combined with the investigation of the current situation of geography comprehensive thinking cultivation of middle school students in Linxia State, this paper takes "constructivist learning theory","cognitive learning theory","thinking theory " as a guide, seeking the theoretical basis of this study from different perspectives and designing preliminary research ideas. This paper mainly adopts literature analysis method, questionnaire survey method, expert consultation method and interview method to conduct the research. With the help of questionnaire and interview,we analyze the current situation of geography integrated thinking cultivation of junior high school students in Linxia State and summarize the problems in students’ integrated thinking cultivation.Through the survey, the current situation of integrated thinking cultivation of junior high school students is summarized from three aspects: geography classroom learning situation, geography integrated thinking situation students’ self-assessment and teachers’ evaluation, and the influence of other disturbing factors on cultivating students’ integrated thinking, and the problems of students’ integrated thinking are found through the analysis of the current situation: Some students have problems in their learning attitude and methods;teachers’ professional distribution is uneven, and integrated thinking The teacher’s professional distribution is uneven, and the cultivation of integrated thinking is limited;Teachers’ evaluation of comprehensive thinking is not in place. In response to the problems, corresponding strategies are proposed according to the three dimensions of integrated thinking.(1)Elements synthesis strategy: Interpret the curriculum standards at multiple levels, and set the appropriate goals;find effective entry points and synthesize relevant factors;combine the knowledge of other disciplines to improve the ability of integrated analysis of problems.(2)Time-space synthesis strategy: pay attention to the combination of graphics and text to strengthen the spatio-temporal connection;multimedia-assisted teaching to build spatial models;build relative positions to deepen comprehensive thinking in time and space.(3)Local integration strategy: create regional geographic scenarios and analyze the connection of geographic elements;closely connect with the countryside and carry out regional geography teaching;use thinking maps to construct the structure of geographic elements. The introduction of core literacy is a great challenge for front-line teachers, who need to focus on the cultivation of literacy and the long-term development of students while improving the quality of their teaching. Therefore, combined with the problems encountered in the research process,a point of advice to front-line geography teachers:teachers should improve their own core literacy while driving the development of students’ core literacy, and strengthen the assessment of students’ comprehensive thinking in daily teaching to promote students’ development by assessment. Finally, the strategies are used to design teaching cases, and the strategies are used to develop students’ integrated thinking in geography classroom teaching and in geography practice. |
