At present,textbooks and supporting curriculum resources developed by China mainly focus on the content of common knowledge,and have little relevance to the practical life of students living in areas of minority ethnic groups,which cannot benefit the students to construct their knowledge.Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture is rich in biological resources.The Dai ethnic group,the main ethnic group in Xishuangbanna,has a splendid history of material culture and spiritual culture.These folk cultures contain rich biological curriculum resources,which have not been developed and utilized yet.Based on the learning theory of constructivism,the theory of multicultural education,and the theory of multiple intelligences,this study adopts the literature research method,the questionnaire survey method,the interview method,the controlled experiment method,and the case analysis method.And this study based on the curriculum standards,the Dai folk culture is integrated into the high school biology teaching around the 2019 senior high school biology textbook,People’s Education Press as the center.In the early stage,by consulting literature and combining teaching textbooks and curriculum standards,this study proposed the principles to develop biology curriculum resources based on the background of Dai folk culture.A total of 14 Dai folk cultures,including traditional customs,traditional skills,festivals and diets,which are combined with high school biology knowledge,are explored to form high school biology curriculum resources with local and ethnic characteristics.The empirical study uses the questionnaire survey method to explore students’ awareness of Dai folk culture,and interview teachers to know their views on Dai folk culture curriculum resources.Combining with specific cases,this study successfully applied the Dai folk culture to biology teaching in senior high school through three links:lead-in,consolidation and expansion.After teaching practice,the study conducted a quantitative and qualitative study to analyze the effect of combining Dai folk culture into high school biology teaching from the aspects of student achievement,teacher and student mutual evaluation,student interviews and so on.The study shows that the folk culture of Dai ethnic group is a unique and valuable teaching resource in Xishuangbanna,and the effective integration of the Dai folk culture with biology teaching in senior high school is beneficial for students to master and apply theoretical knowledge,inherit ethnic culture,establish ethnic confidence and improve their core quality.
