The Grade 7 Ethics and Rule of Law curriculum is based on students’ gradually expanding life experience and aims to guide the healthy development of students’ thinking and moral character.Emphasizing that facing social life and enriching students’ emotional experience and moral practice are the implementation requirements of the curriculum,which puts forward practical requirements for promoting the reform and innovation of ethics and rule of law courses,and enhancing the ideological,theoretical,affinity and pertinence of the curriculum.The classroom with rich emotional temperature can be achieved through stories that are happy to hear and blend,and storytelling can move people’s hearts in subtleties through the expression of true feelings,among which story-based teaching can open up the bridge between love and reason,knowledge and action through the integration of story and teaching at the level of meaning,so as to realize the guidance of value in the story and train students to become new people in the era of national rejuvenation.Based on the key characteristics of the transition from childhood to adolescence of grade 7 students,this paper follows the research path of “historical review-theoretical construction-practical investigation-problem tracing-strategy proposal”to explore how storytelling teaching can be effectively used in the seventh grade ethics and rule of law curriculum.In order to deeply understand the theory of storytelling and determine further research directions,this paper first sorts out the research status of storytelling teaching at home and abroad,and clarifies the innovation and shortcomings of this research.There are four parts in this thesis.The first part sums up the related connotation of the narrative in the ethics and the rule of law and deeply explores the application value and significant characteristics of storytelling teaching in ethics and rule of law.The second part aims to discover the current application of story-based teaching in the seventh grade ethics and rule of law class,and conduct an e-mpirical survey and analysis of the status quo by means of questionnaire and interview,combined with specific data.The third part is strictly based on the survey data,from the aspects of story material selection,story-based teaching design,in-depth reflection,and influence scope,to analyze the achievements and existing problems in the story-based teaching of the seventh grade ethics and rule of law course,and then explore the causes of the problems from the aspects of the status of teachers and students’ subject-object and teaching environment.The fourth part accordingly summarizes the principles that need to be followed in the use of story-based teaching in ethics and rule of law courses,and puts forward application strategies from the aspects of building “materials”,“speaking”,constructing“construction”,being good at “saving”,and seeking “strength”,and seeking specific and practical promotion paths.According to the type of story and combined with the textbooks,the story-based teaching is practiced and applied through vivid cases.In short,through the analysis and exploration of these parts,in order to maximize the role of storytelling in improving the quality of ethics and rule of law in grade 7,it is expected to provide inspiration for front-line teachers’ teaching and research.
