Youth football clubs are an integral part of youth physical education in China, and a major breakthrough in promoting the popularity of football and expanding the football population. At present, the state is vigorously promoting the integration of sports and education and the standardised development of social sports clubs, and major youth sports clubs are also upgrading their quality in the midst of fierce competition. The rising status of football in the teaching of youth sports curriculum has pointed the way for the development of youth football clubs. However, there are opportunities and challenges, youth training is both developable and long term, player management encompasses multiple aspects, and player management in many clubs is not scientific, affecting parents’ choice and even loyalty to the club, which will be detrimental to the long-term development of the club.Based on this,a division of player management and an investigation into the mechanisms by which factors related to player management affect parental loyalty will help to increase the trust of parents of young players in the club, which in turn will lead to long-term and effective development for the club. This study introduces the theory of human resource management effectiveness and further explains the feasibility of using human resource management effectiveness theory in player management in terms of management objectives, management models and management principles, and constructs a theoretical model based on theories related to human resource management effectiveness, customer satisfaction, customer loyalty and existing research on player management in youth football clubs to discuss the problems in player management in youth football clubs. The theoretical model was developed based on theories related to human resource management effectiveness, customer satisfaction, customer loyalty and existing research on player management in youth football clubs,to discuss the problems in player management in youth football clubs, and to verify the influence mechanism of player management effectiveness on parental loyalty in youth football clubs. With player management effectiveness as the independent variable, parental loyalty to the club as the dependent variable and parental satisfaction with the club as the mediating variable, player management effectiveness is divided into personnel selection, sports development, moral education and career planning, parental satisfaction is divided into customer expectations, perceived quality and perceived value, and parental loyalty is divided into perceived loyalty, intentional loyalty, emotional loyalty and behavioural loyalty, and the 15 research hypotheses. The design questionnaire was adjusted according to the existing scales, experts were invited to check the validity, and the data were obtained through pre-study to find problems to revise the questionnaire and formal research, which was taken to include both online and offline research, and the data obtained were analysed statistically using two software programs,SPSS 26.0 and AMOS 24.0,for exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, validation factor analysis, correlation analysis and other paths, and to verify the hypotheses. The results of the study show that:First, improving player management efficacy increases parental loyalty to the club, player management efficacy has a significant positive effect on parental satisfaction, and the efficacy of the staff development aspect of player management is highest for both parental satisfaction and parental loyalty.Secondly, parental satisfaction plays a partially mediating role between player management effectiveness and parental loyalty, with player management effectiveness having an indirect effect on club parental loyalty through parental satisfaction and player management effectiveness having a direct effect on parental loyalty.Thirdly, limited career development and single mode of training inhibit long-term player growth. On the one hand, most parents of young players do not consider football as part of their future career development plans,on the other hand, the training methods are more traditional and the number of players who enter elite team training is also a minority.Fourthly, the overall quality of the coaching staff affects the customer’s evaluation of the club. The selection and management of coaches in youth clubs may affect parents’ initial choice of club, intermediate process evaluation and even future loyalty to the club.Through the above research and analysis, the following recommendations are made:firstly, pay attention to parents’ demands to enhance their satisfaction;secondly, balance players’ sports education to broaden their future development path;thirdly, study foreign training models to optimize player training management;fourthly, improve the comprehensive quality of coaching staff to serve player management. |
