The curriculum of labor education has always been an important part of the curriculum system of the mentally retarded schools,carrying the mission and responsibility of cultivating students with mentally retarded to adapt to life and integrate into society.The implementation of labor education courses in mentally retarded schools can not only rehabilitate and compensate mentally retarded students for their physical and mental defects,stimulate their inner potential,and enable them to develop in an all-round and harmonious way,but also highlight the social subjectivity of disabled groups and promote the formation of an inclusive social and cultural environment.In this study,questionnaire survey,interview method,observation method and text analysis method are comprehensively used to investigate the implementation of junior middle school labor education curriculum in Yunnan mentally retarded schools,and the findings are as follows:At present,the difference of demographic variables in the implementation of junior middle school labor education curriculum in mentally retarded schools in Yunnan Province is reflected in: the implementation of the curriculum objectives of labor education is related to the teaching years of the teachers.The novice teachers with teaching years of less than 3 years have poor implementation of the curriculum objectives.the specific implementation and implementation guarantee of labor education curriculum are related to school level,and the specific implementation and implementation guarantee of county school labor education curriculum are better.The results of curriculum implementation include: the school has set up diversified and complementary labor education courses;Teachers can correctly understand the value and implementation principle of labor education curriculum;Teachers promote the development of students in the way of encouragement and practice with small steps and multiple cycles;Junior middle school students with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities have improved their labor literacy;The labor safety of junior high school students with intellectual disabilities has been effectively guaranteed.The problems of curriculum implementation include: the lack of systematicness,appropriateness and standardization in the development and design of labor education curriculum;The lack of multiple openness,career planning and individuation in curriculum implementation;Junior middle school students with severe mental retardation have poor effect on improving labor literacy;Labor education curriculum in many aspects of the condition guarantee is still not perfect.The influencing factors of curriculum implementation include: management’s attention and support,construction of teaching staff,students’ ability level,curriculum planning and design level,integration and application of curriculum resources.Aiming at the current problems in the implementation of junior middle school labor education curriculum in mentally retarded schools in Yunnan Province,this paper puts forward five optimization strategies.First,to strengthen the school-based implementation of the national labor skills curriculum and the development of the school labor education curriculum;The second is to guarantee the quality and quantity of labor education teachers in both ways;Third,adopt the "six-step" strategy to unite the forces of family,school and society;The fourth is to strengthen the multiple openness,career planning and individuation in curriculum implementation;Fifth,we should improve the implementation guarantee of labor education curriculum based on the principle of optimization and supplement.
