| With the advancement of the new curriculum reform, society and schools are paying more and more attention to enhancing students’ problem-solving skills. The junior high school Information Technology curriculum should not only teach students IT-related operational knowledge and skills, but also enhance students’ ability to use IT to solve practical problems and problems in other subjects, and the "Programming" module of the junior high school IT curriculum can enhance junior high school students’ problem-solving skills. This study takes the "Programming" module as an example and focuses on the teaching design to enhance the problem-solving skills of junior high school students under the value-oriented approach of deep learning. One of the important contents of this study is how information technology teachers can use programming teaching to stimulate junior high school students’ interest in subject learning, thereby helping them improve their problem-solving abilities. This paper uses documentary research, documentary questionnaire, interview method and empirical research method to understand the current state of problem solving skills of junior high school pupils and the current situation of teachers’ teaching,to analyze and summaries the findings of the survey with regard to the ability to face problems, the ability to ask and analyze problems, the ability to deal with problems, and the ability to evaluate and reflect on problems,to make a deep learning value-oriented teaching design to improve junior high school students’ problem solving ability. To design and conduct experimental research on the teaching of problem solving skills for junior high school students, and to test the effectiveness of the teaching practice.According to the questionnaire survey and teacher interviews conducted for the teaching of programming in the IT curriculum,it was found that the teaching of Information Technology programming has the problem of separating the creation of teaching situations from life, and students have a negative attitude towards problems;teachers do not provide enough guidance in asking questions, and students lack the process of taking the initiative to ask and analyse problems;teachers focus on the process of students’ operation, but lack the application of problem-solving methods;teachers attach importance to the results of operation in class, and students Teachers focus on the results of classroom operations, but students lack the process of evaluating and reflecting on problem solving.Based on the identified problems, the researchers provided programming teaching strategies from the value orientation of deep learning, focusing on the abilities of facing problems, proposing and analyzing problems, handling problems, evaluating and reflecting on problems. The teaching strategies included: motivation stimulation strategy, exploration of new knowledge strategy, sequential activities strategy, and restructuring strategy.Through three teaching cases, experimental studies were conducted, and the results showed that teaching with deep learning as a value orientation could improve the problem-solving abilities of middle school students, while the degree of improvement varied for different dimensions of problem-solving abilities. |
