| In recent years,China has introduced many policies to promote the in-depth development of basic education,and consequently,the research on elementary mathematics education has made great progress.Mathematical equations are an important tool for measuring realistic quantitative relationships,and equations are taught throughout the junior and senior high school levels;equation thinking is one of the core literacies in mathematics,and the exploration of equations in secondary mathematics teaching is a hot spot in mathematics education research.The research on HPM has been richly researched,but the existing literature is mostly theoretical,and the empirical research results on the teaching of equations based on the perspective of HPM need to be added.In this context,it is necessary to explore the teaching of equations in secondary schools from the perspective of the history of mathematics.In this paper,from the HPM theory and relying on the knowledge of mathematical equations in junior high school,a practical study on teaching and learning from the HPM perspective was conducted in a middle school in Chongqing.Using Citespace software to analyze the current situation of HPM development at home and abroad,the author uses literature analysis,questionnaires,and action research to investigate and analyze the current situation of teaching the history of mathematics into middle school equations in the internship school by starting from three factors that affect the teaching practice of HPM: knowledge,teachers,and students,the knowledge of teachers and students in the middle school about the history of mathematics,the recognition of HPM teaching method,the actual use of The research data were collected and analyzed with the help of SPSS software,supplemented by individual interviews,to investigate the impact of integrating the history of mathematics into the teaching of quadratic equations on students’ mathematical learning.Combining the results of the teacher-student interviews and the analysis of the research data,it can be found that the teaching practice under the HPM perspective has good teaching effects on students’ deep understanding of the knowledge of systems of quadratic equations,the teaching based on the principle of historical occurrence can help students deepen their understanding and mastery of the idea of elimination,enhance students’ interest in and recognition of the history of mathematics and the HPM teaching method,and help students build a bridge between mathematics and real life.Analyzing the shortcomings of the whole study,the author makes suggestions from the perspectives of students,teachers,schools and mathematics researchers,expecting to better implement the integration of HPM and junior high school mathematics teaching,and to transmit mathematical knowledge to students from the perspective of historical development,so as to promote students’ access to good mathematics education and the formation of necessary core literacy... |
