The emergence of artificial intelligence has significantly impacted the field of education.and has placed new demands on talent development,with computational thinking skills becoming more prominent in education as one of the higher order competencies.Currently,the traditional robotics classroom faces challenges in terms of teaching methods and the lack of a school robotics teaching system.Traditional robotics classrooms also suffer from a lack of development of computational thinking and innovation skills.There is also a growing interest in how to teach robotics in primary and secondary schools.Design-based learning allows students to become more active in their learning,and students become active agents in the exploration and discovery of knowledge.The main research methods of this paper are action research,supplemented by experimental research,observation and interview.This paper attempts to introduce design-based learning into junior middle school robot classroom,and improve the current robot teaching framework by taking advantage of design-based learning.The framework of junior middle school robot education and teaching activities based on design-based learning is constructed,teaching theme,teaching content design and teaching practice implementation are selected,multiple rounds of teaching practice are determined and the framework of teaching activity is revised after each round of teaching practice,and finally a scientific and effective junior middle school robot education and teaching activity framework based on design-based learning is formed.Firstly,by reading literature,the research status,related core concepts and theoretical basis of design-based learning and robot education at home and abroad were reviewed.Secondly,the compatibility of the combination of design-based learning and robot education is discussed.Based on the "design-based scientific inquiry cycle model" as the basis of the construction of the teaching activity framework,the training of students’ computational thinking ability is taken as the starting point and combined with the characteristics,needs and characteristics of localization robot education.The framework of robot education and teaching activities in junior middle school based on design-based learning is designed and developed.According to the constructed framework of teaching activities,relevant curriculum arrangement and teaching design were carried out and multiple rounds of practice were carried out.Meanwhile,corresponding tests before and after calculation thinking,interview outline and classroom behavior observation table were prepared for the collection of teaching experiment data.Finally,a one-semester teaching experiment was conducted,and the data collected during the teaching experiment was used to verify and analyze the effect.Through the teaching experiment,it is found that the robot education teaching activity framework based on design-based learning can effectively improve the computational thinking ability of junior high school students.
