On March 30,2022,the Chinese National Men’s Football Team ended its journey to the top 12 of the Asian qualifying stage of the Qatar World Cup with a result of one win, three draws, and six losses, placing it second from the bottom of the group. It once again failed to qualify for the World Cup.When China’s goal remained to enter the World Cup finals,Japan had already reached the top 16 of the World Cup four times, and South Korea had also participated in ten consecutive World Cups, including two in the top 16 and one in the top four, creating the best results for Asian teams in the World Cup.Japan and South Korea have repeatedly demonstrated on the stage of the World Cup that yellow people can also play football well, and differences in physical fitness can no longer be used as a reason for failure. The prerequisite for solving the problem is to identify the problem. To achieve this,it is necessary to digitize the relevant aspects of the game and interpret the performance of the Chinese,Japanese, and Korean men’s soccer teams on the field with data. Therefore, this article will subdivide and split the effective transition from defense to attack process of the Chinese,Japanese, and Korean men’s soccer teams, and compare and analyze the performance data of the three teams in each link, with a view to identifying the characteristics and differences of the three teams in the effective transition from defense to attack process, providing corresponding reference for coaches’ pre match tactical arrangements and on-site command of the game. This article uses video observation, literature, mathematical statistics, comparative analysis, and other research methods to study the 206 effective transitions from defense to attack formed by the Chinese,Japanese, and South Korean men’s soccer teams in a total of28 matches during the final 12 of the 2022 Qatar World Cup Asian regional qualifiers. The main conclusions are as follows:(1)From the perspective of the characteristics of the period of effective transition from defense to attack, the attack power of the Chinese team in the first half and the later half was very weak, and most of the effective transition from defense to attack occurred in the second half of the Chinese team. From the point of view of the score characteristics of effective defense to attack, when the Chinese team is in the leading state, the efficiency of initiating effective defense to attack is slightly higher than that of Japan and South Korea, while when the Chinese team is in the draw state and behind state, the efficiency of initiating effective defense to attack is far lower than that of Japan and South Korea.(2)The Japanese team is more inclined to launch an effective defensive attack from the midfield than the Chinese and South Korean teams.(3)Japan and South Korea are more proactive in defense than China. After obtaining the ball right, the first winner of the Chinese team will choose more methods and directions of dealing with the ball in a slow pace.(4)The proportion of Chinese teams using fast counterattacks when launching effective defensive attacks is higher than that of Japan and South Korea, but the speed of Chinese teams launching effective fast counterattacks in the midfield and backcourt is slower than that of Japan and South Korea.(5)China’s shooting conversion rate is higher than that of Japan and South Korea, but China’s ability to seize opportunities in shooting zone 1 is poor, and its ability to score from long range is poor.
