In a football game, the offensive and defensive transition refers to a process that the defender gains the ball from the offensive player in different ways.In this thesis,I analyze 26 women’s football games’ characteristics of the ball turnover in the Rio Olympic Games by the methods of the literature data, the expert interview, the video observation, the mathematical analysis, the logical analysis and the comparative analysis from time to space. At the same time, analyzing the relevant data in the group match and the quarterfinals about the Chinese team, the champions team---Germany,the runner-up team---Sweden and the third team---Canadian.The tactics of offensive and defensive transitions have become the core of the coach’s arrangements. While for women’s football,it will further promote the reform and innovation of football.According to the data, conclusions are as follows:1.Team with lower ability, declining physical strength or insufficient psychological ability is more likely to lose the ball right.Offensive or defensive should focus on the midfield to strengthen the control of the Middle Road area.2.Players in the game are more likely to lose the ball due to poor technical skills, reduced attention and lack of mental capacity.Individuals and groups with outstanding ability and good psychological qualities are more likely to get the ball.Fast attack after winning the ball is the first choice for the team’s tactical arrangement.Passing the ball forward is the mainstream of the game.3 The Chinese team, the German team, the Swedish team and the Canadian team did not have significant differences in the way they lost the ball, the field area and the ball handling method. All four teams suffer from lack of physical ability, reduced attention, mismatches and other reasons that lead to the loss of the ball.4 The Chinese team, the German team, the Swedish team, and the Canadian team have significant differences in the way they obtain the ball and in the field. In the way of obtaining possession of the ball, the main methods of obtaining the ball in the four countries are based on opponent errors and steals. The disparity in the strength of the two sides of the competition, the individual ability of the players in both sides of the competition, and the ethos of the team as a whole affect the play of the team.In terms of field area, the midfield has the most number of possessions, and midfield players with outstanding ability can control the game and dominate the game.
