| In classroom management, the term "class norms" is commonplace, but the term "learning norms" is rarely mentioned. As one of the cultural tools from the perspective of learning science, classroom learning norms reflect the expectations of teachers and students in the classroom, and potentially affect the effect of students’ participation in learning. It is precisely because of its potential that classroom learning norms have often been neglected in the design of learning activities in the past. Therefore, this research is learner-centered and constructs a design framework for classroom learning norms in primary schools, aiming to provide reference for front-line teachers and ultimately promote students’ learning.First of all, through literature analysis, the connotation and relationship between the concepts of class norm and classroom learning norm are clarified, laying a solid foundation for empirical research.Secondly, according to the practical dilemma of primary school classroom learning norms, based on activity theory, scaffold theory, distributed cognition and other related theories, the design framework of primary school classroom learning norms is constructed. Then,a case study was carried out,and all the students of Class A of the third grade of a primary school in Nanchang were the research objects, the theory was applied to classroom practice. The teachers and students jointly designed and implemented classroom learning norms in three aspects: learning to express, learning to ask questions, and learning to cooperate. Finally, through the combination of quantitative and qualitative methods such as questionnaire survey, interview, dialogue analysis and classroom observation, the corresponding data are collected for effect analysis. The results show that:(1)Students’ learning skills such as questioning, expressing and listening are significantly improved. In the classroom, the relationship between students learning from each other and the atmosphere of security are established, and their participation in the classroom is significantly improved. At the same time, the classroom learning norms have been highly recognized by teachers and students.(2)The results of dialogue analysis reflect that the classroom discourse has changed, and students can actively express their ideas and gradually master the right to speak. Not only teachers but also students can initiate questions. In short, classroom learning norms can effectively promote student learning and help build a positive classroom culture. |
