| In the information age,visual teaching has become a current research hotspot.However,at present,teachers have different understandings of visual teaching,and the methods of visual teaching vary greatly.There is less systematic research on "geographic visual teaching".Based on this,this article uses literature research,questionnaire survey,case analysis,and statistical analysis to define the connotation of Web GIS based geography visualization teaching in senior high schools,expounds the functions and advantages of Web GIS in visualization teaching,discusses the feasibility of using Web GIS for visualization teaching,and proposes principles and strategies for using Web GIS for geography visualization teaching based on the research status and survey results,And designed relevant cases to guide teaching practice.This study first uses the literature research method to comb the theoretical and practical research on the application of Web GIS to geography teaching at home and abroad,and clarify the current research status of using Web GIS to conduct visualization teaching in senior high school geography.Secondly,the feasibility analysis of Web GIS geography visualization teaching is conducted,and the visualization function of Web GIS is matched with middle school geography teaching.Next,a questionnaire was used to investigate senior high school geography teachers’ understanding and application of Web GIS and visual teaching,and four conclusions were drawn: Web GIS plays a significant advantage in senior high school geography teaching;Teachers have a high degree of recognition for Web GIS visualization teaching;Web GIS still faces constraints in high school geography teaching;Teachers’ understanding and operational level of Web GIS visualization teaching needs to be improved.Using the literature research method to classify the visual teaching content based on Web GIS,this paper proposes teaching principles based on teaching content,based on curriculum standards,based on universal applicability,guided by problem-driven,and aimed at student development,and constructs a visual teaching strategy for high school geography based on Web GIS.Next,the author designed three teaching cases using a simple Web GIS platform to provide reference for geography teachers.Finally,experiments are conducted to verify the effectiveness of Web GIS visualization teaching.The practical results show that using Web GIS to conduct visualization teaching has obvious advantages in terms of student participation,as well as the utilization and innovation of curriculum resources,which to some extent indicates that Web GIS visualization teaching is superior to traditional teaching methods.This study proposes the content,principles,and strategies of Web GIS based visual teaching through effective correlation between Web GIS and visual teaching,which to some extent enriches the theory and methods of geographic visual teaching.Through the comparison of teaching experiments,the effectiveness of Web GIS in cultivating students’ comprehensive literacy and improving academic performance has been verified,providing a certain theoretical basis and reference value for the visualization teaching of geography in senior high schools. |
