Group emotions are an important factor affecting the effectiveness of group learning,and their emergence,dynamic development,and evolutionary process are educational phenomena and learning issues worth paying attention to.With the continuous advancement of educational informatization and modernization,online learning has become an important form of group learning.Due to the characteristic of spatiotemporal separation,learners often encounter issues such as poor communication and delayed feedback during online learning,making it difficult for learners to establish group identity,resulting in a sense of alienation,interruption of learning behavior,and poor learning outcomes.Group identity is closely related to group emotions.When learners identify themselves as belonging to a certain learning group,their academic emotions are greatly influenced by the members of that group,thus establishing connections with the learning group and making it less likely to experience dropout problems.Therefore,the emotional issues of learners in online learning urgently require attention.However,there is currently limited research on group emotions in online learning,lacking group care for learners’ academic emotions.The exploration of emotional changes and dynamic issues in online learning is also limited to an individual perspective,and few researchers have explored the emotional problems and evolutionary mechanisms of online learners from a group perspective.Based on this,this study introduces the theory of group emotions in psychology,focusing on the issues of group emotions and evolution mechanisms in online learning.Taking MOOC courses as an example,we identify group emotions based on discussion area data,mine themes and classify them,analyze the similarities and differences in the generation and development of group emotions under different categories of themes,and use emotional infection theory and emotional cognition theory to observe the generation and development of group emotions in online learning contexts,exploring the evolutionary characteristics and mechanisms behind it,providing enlightenments and suggestions for group emotional intervention in online learning,in order to address issues such as emotional loss,negative emotion breeding,and high dropout rates in online learning.The specific research work and conclusions obtained are divided into the following five aspects:First,online learning group emotion definition and recognition.The group emotion theory is introduced into the emotion research of online learning,and the definition of online learning group emotion is completed.This paper selects the ’ EQ and Smart Life ’ of Chinese University MOOC platform as a research case,and obtains 2184 valid data in the course discussion area.Use the sentiment dictionary to identify and calculate the online learning group emotions,and obtain different types of emotional values.Finally,based on the time series of discussion data,the preliminary evolution results of online learning group emotions are obtained.Second,online learning discussion area topic mining and classification.Based on LDA topic mining algorithm analysis and model construction,topic mining is carried out for discussion area data,11 topics are obtained,and different topics are classified and processed,which are divided into three categories : cognitive,emotional and other.Third,analyze the emotional types and evolution trends of online learning groups with different types of topics.The results and evolution trends of online learning group emotion recognition of cognitive,emotional and other topics are analyzed respectively,and the similarities and differences of emotion generation and development of various topic groups are explored.Fourth,explore the emotional evolution mechanism of online learning groups.First of all,based on the previous research results,this paper summarizes the evolution characteristics and evolution motivations of online learning group emotions,expounds the evolution process and results of group emotions from the surface to the deep,sorts out various types of variables and elements in the whole process of evolution,and explores their influence and role on the evolution of group emotions.On this basis,combined with theoretical basis,clarify the functional relationship between elements and the positive and negative aspects of group emotion,and form an online learning group emotion evolution mechanism.Fifth,propose practical enlightenments for online learning group emotional intervention.According to the emotional evolution mechanism of online learning groups,measures such as increasing external stimuli,improving effective cognition,using external positive emotional sources to guide emotional infection,and creating a good discussion atmosphere can be taken to intervene in online learning group emotions,providing more emotional dependency and group care for learners’ learning,with a view to solving emotional problems in online learning,and improving the effectiveness and efficiency of online learning,improve the construction of online courses and promote the reform of online teaching and learning.This study analyzed the emotions and evolution trends of online learning groups with different classification themes,explored the evolution mechanism of online learning group emotions,and proposed corresponding intervention practice enlightenments.The research conclusion enriches the relevant research on occupational emotions in online learning,and also brings new methods and observation perspectives to the study of group emotions.It has certain practical value in solving emotional problems of online learners,improving online course construction,and improving online learning effectiveness. |
