ICT has gained widespread acceptance in numerous countries as a means to enhance teaching practices.Similarly,in Bangladesh,ICT has been implemented across all levels of the education system. The objectives of this study were to understand the status of ICT integration in the rural secondery school by investigating teachers’ beliefs on the effectiveness of integrating ICT in their teaching practices, their perceived skill and competencies of applying ICT,and their challenges of implementing ICT in teaching. This study employed the WST model for investigating teacher’s integration of ICT.This study used a qualitative case study design to answer the research objectives. The study found that majority of teachers has positive beliefs toward ICT integration in teaching and learning practice when few have negative beliefs also.Rural secondary teachers can integrate some specific educational technologies into their teaching activities. However, they have also reported their poor knowledge of digital literacy, computer literacy, and integration of these tools and techniques in classroom practice. As they have an insufficient understanding of technologies and techniques, they have a low level of competence in integrating ICT and a low level of confidence.Besides that, they are facing challenges due to insufficient training, inadequate infrastructure, slow internet speed, technology expenses, lack of school technical support, and device unreliability.
