With the in-depth implementation of the new curriculum and the new liberal arts construction,on the one hand,the advantages of interdisciplinary teaching in improving the comprehensive quality of students are increasingly prominent,on the other hand,how to combine the physical and mental characteristics of the educated to develop a "1+1>2" teaching program is also a realistic issue in front of educators.For contemporary primary school students,they are born in the era of "map reading",immersed in an environment full of visual information since childhood,and gradually develop visual thinking habits in the process of receiving information and observing the world.To actively explore the introduction of children’s favorite and vivid visual resources into the teaching activities of life education,which is meaningful to them but relatively abstract,has become an important issue for cultivating students to establish correct worldview,outlook on life and values and become qualified socialist successors under the guidance of the new curriculum.Based on the existing theoretical research,this thesis intends to design thematic life education through film and television works based on the theory of embodied cognition through research and selection of excellent film and television works.Firstly,in the introductory section,we explain the background,theoretical foundation,significance,current situation,methods and ideas of the study;secondly,we explore the characteristics,significance and embodiment of the application of film and television works in embodied life education;then comes the questionnaire for the students and teachers of the fourth grade of elementary school respectively,and find many problems of the application of film and television works in life education,mainly the lack of attention to life education and film education,the curriculum system of "absence",teachers’ lack of professionalism,and the lack of systematic organization of video materials;thus,we designed a course on the application of film and television works in life education suitable for fourth grade students in elementary school,"Film and Television Open the Wisdom of Life",in an attempt to provide thoughts and suggestions for the application of film and television works in life education at the elementary school level in China.
