Non-intellectual factors and logical reasoning literacy which is one of the six core mathematics literacy,has always been a hot research highlights.In particular,mathematical core literacy is a new hot word in the《Mathematics Curriculum Standards of General High School(2017)》issued in 2018,and still having some research space in the research,and non-intellectual factors have a significant impact on students’ mathematical learning ability.Therefore,it is of great significance to study the correlation between non-intellectual factors and logical reasoning ability.This study focuses on the following questions:(1)What is the current situation of non-intellectual factors among Hainan high school students?(2)What is the current situation of logical reasoning ability among Hainan high school students?(3)Is there a correlation between the two?How strong is the correlation?(4)How can students learn more effectively based on the relationship between the two?The research methods adopted in this study are mainly the combination of quantitative research and qualitative research based on literature analysis,questionnaire survey,and data statistics.Excel tables and SPSS software are used to conduct descriptive statistical analysis,factor analysis,correlation analysis,and regression analysis of the data.There are the following results:1.The overall level of non-intellectual factors in mathematics learning among Hainan high school students is above the middle level.Among the scores of five dimensions,the attitude is the highest,the personality is the lowest,the will fluctuates greatly,and the emotion is relatively stable.2.The overall level of logical reasoning ability of Hainan high school students is in the middle,among the scores of the three dimensions,analog reasoning is the highest,deductive reasoning is the lowest,analog reasoning fluctuates greatly,and inductive reasoning is relatively stable.3.The Spearman correlation coefficient between the non-intellectual factors and the logical reasoning ability is 0.803,indicating a strong positive correlation between them.The non-intellectual factors also have a significant positive correlation with the three dimensions of logical reasoning ability,with the correlation coefficients being analogical reasoning(0.682),deductive reasoning(0.666),and inductive reasoning(0.593).4.Among the five dimensions of non-intelletual factors,the correlation coefficient between attitude and logical reasoning ability is the largest,with a correlation coefficient of 0.677,followed by personality,with a correlation coefficient of 0.640,and then motivation(0.608),will(0.516),and emotion(0.487).5.The univariate linear regression equation between non-intellectual factors(x)and logical reasoning ability(y)of Hainan high school students is as follows:y=0.220x-7.229.The multiple linear regression equation between the five dimensions of attitude(x1),motivation(x2),emotion(x3),personality(x4),will(x5)and mathematical logic reasoning ability(y)is as follows:y=0.188x1+0.252x2+0.303x3+0.240x4+0.166x5-8.108.
