| The new unified version of the primary language textbook has added an unit of doing exercises in composition,which aims to cultivate students’ ability to express and use language.As a unit as a whole,the arrangement system of integrating reading and writing has laid a solid foundation for the exercise,but the unit of doing exercises in composition teaching is still at the stage of practical exploration,so how to scientifically and reasonably design the teaching to accomplish the goal of exercise teaching has become an urgent problem to be solved.This study provides a new perspective and feasibility for the design of elementary school upper level composition units by reconstructing and integrating learning contents and creating learning contexts according to the nature of the subject and students’ cognitive development.Based on the theory of unit holistic teaching,this study designs a unit holistic teaching for upper elementary school composition units,re-integrates textual contents,designs teaching steps and cases with the development of students’ composition skills as the core,and carries out implementation and reflection.The study mainly used literature analysis,classroom observation,interview and case study methods.After clarifying the connotation and characteristics of the unit and the whole unit,the study analyzed the characteristics,principles and values of the unit organization system of the upper elementary school based on the theory of whole unit teaching,and analyzed the necessity and feasibility of the whole unit teaching design of the unit to provide support for the actual teaching design.Based on the overall teaching design process of the unit,we design a three-step teaching idea of the unit from overall planning and lesson preparation,determining the expected goals,caring for the unit as a whole,designing the process,and finally evaluating the unit tasks and reflecting on the teaching evaluation,and crystallize the teaching design steps of the unit into six steps,which are: pre-study: "unit of work";comprehension: "unit of work";and comprehension: "unit of work".The steps are:pre-study: "Exercise Composition Unit";comprehension: "Exercise Composition Intensive Reading";comprehension of expression: first practice;reading and discussing: demonstration of exercise essays;practical activities: exercise activities and inquiry;and testing: evaluation of exercise essays.According to the implementation,the teaching design is conducive to deepening teachers’ processing of teaching materials,giving full play to their dynamic role,cultivating students’ overall perception and overall grasp of the level and stimulating students’ long-term interest in learning.However,there are certain difficulties in the process of teaching design.Based on this,corresponding suggestions for improvement are put forward:strengthening teachers’ in-depth research on the unit of composition and the overall teaching of the unit;exploring the training points of composition to build a bridge between reading and writing;reasonably diagnosing students’ composition problems and insisting on multiple value assessment.We hope that these suggestions can provide some valuable references for front-line teachers in the teaching of composition. |
