Peer relationship refers to the interpersonal relationship formed in the process of interaction between individuals of similar age.Good peer relationship promotes individual self-growth and social development.On the contrary,it hinders the development of individual emotion,cognition and behavior.Junior high school students ’ physical and mental development is relatively rapid,emotional ups and downs and relatively self,which can easily lead to the tension of their peer relationship,affect their learning life,and even affect their physical and mental growth and social development.Many theories show that the relationship between individuals and others will be affected by the early family relationship model.In view of this,this study takes the peer relationship of junior high school students as the result variable,explores the peer relationship of junior high school students from the perspective of family intimacy,and from the perspective of individual quality and ability,adds two mediating variables of emotional intelligence and self-harmony to test whether emotional intelligence and self-harmony have mediating effects between family intimacy and peer relationship.It provides scientific basis and empirical basis for helping students establish good peer relationship,and lays a theoretical foundation for deepening the research of family intimacy and peer relationship in the future.In this study,1202 junior high school students in Hainan were investigated by peer relationship scale,self consistency and congruence scale,emotional intelligence scale,family cohesion and adaptability subscale.The results are as follows :(1)Junior high school students ’ peer relationship is medium;family intimacy is low;the middle level of self-harmony;emotional intelligence is generally at the average level.(2)Junior high school boys ’ family cohesion,self-consistency and congruence and peer relationship are higher than junior high school girls ’.Junior high school girls’ emotional intelligence is higher than junior high school boys ’.In terms of family intimacy,peer relationship,self-consistency and congruence,and emotional management of others in emotional intelligence,students in grade 1 are better than those in grade 2 and grade 3;the family intimacy of rural and urban junior high school students is higher than that of urban junior high school students,and the self-harmony level and emotional intelligence of urban junior high school students are higher than those of rural and urban junior high school students;the level of self-consistency and congruence of junior high school students whose father ’s education level is junior high school and below is lower than that of junior high school students whose father ’s education level is technical secondary school or high school,college or undergraduate.The emotional intelligence of junior high school students whose father ’s education level is below junior high school is significantly lower than that of junior high school students whose father ’s education level is technical secondary school or high school,college or undergraduate.The level of self-harmony of junior high school students whose mother ’s education level is below junior high school and secondary school or high school is lower than that of junior college or undergraduate junior high school students whose mother ’s education level is junior college or undergraduate junior high school students ’ emotional intelligence is higher than that of junior high school and below,secondary school or high school and postgraduate junior high school students ’ mother ’s education level.(3)Junior high school students ’ family cohesion,self consistency and congruence,emotional intelligence,peer relationship between the four variables are positively correlated.(4)Emotional intelligence mediates family cohesion and peer relationship.(5)Self-consistency and congruence mediates family cohesion and peer relationship.(6)Family cohesion positively predicted self-consistency and congruence,emotional intelligence and peer relationship;emotional intelligence cannot directly predict peer relationships,but emotional intelligence can positively predict self-consistency and congruence and influence peer relationships by affecting self-consistency and congruence.The chain mediation model is established.According to the results,it is concluded that emotional intelligence and self-harmony are mediating variables for family intimacy to affect junior high school students ’ peer relationship.
