In 2017,the Curriculum Standards of Geography for Senior High schools defined the four core qualities of geography, which is of milestone significance for the current senior high school geography teaching. However, how to implement the cultivation of students’ core qualities of geography in the process of senior high school geography teaching has become an urgent problem to be solved. For a long time, the teacher-based indoctrination teaching method still occupies an important position in geography classroom teaching in senior high school, but this teaching method is not conducive to the cultivation of students’ core quality of geography. Therefore,it is urgent to reform the teaching method and strengthen the cultivation of students’ core quality of geography. As a reform of teaching method,project-based learning is highly respected by teachers. At present,project-based learning is gradually accepted and applied in geography teaching by front-line teachers because it enables students to independently learn knowledge, master geography skills and improve learning ability in the process of completing meaningful projects through group cooperation. However,in the application process, students’ core geography literacy has not been effectively cultivated, and there are still some areas to be improved. For example, students are difficult to carry out projects due to lack of experience, poor self-learning ability and lack of proper guidance, and the completion efficiency of projects is low.Teachers confuse the concept of project-based learning because they do not have a deep understanding of it and carry out it less frequently.During the completion of the project, there is a lack of materials that can reflect the learning process and evaluate the learning effect of students. In order to improve project-based learning and strengthen its effect on the cultivation of students’ core geographical literacy, this paper introduces the academic record as an auxiliary tool into project-based learning to explore its applicability and effect.Academic degree plan is a professional learning plan that reflects students’ "what to learn","how to learn" and "whether to learn" based on students’ position. In order to explore whether the degree plan can be applied in the project-based learning of geography in high school, how to apply it,and whether the application is effective, this paper starts from analyzing the existing problems and difficulties in the project-based learning of geography in high school, and discusses the applicability of the degree plan to introduce project-based learning. This paper proposes the design principles and constituent elements of the academic degree plan for project-based learning in high school geography. On this basis,it proposes the principles that teachers should follow when designing project-based learning based on the academic degree plan and the process that should be based on when constructing the implementation. Finally, two projects that can better cultivate students’ core literacy of geography are selected, and the specific design, implementation and analysis are carried out.
