In order to adapt to the new requirements of the country for science and technology in the new era,the content of science and technology history in middle school history textbooks has been updated.The updated content reflects the mutual relationship between science and technology,society,culture,economy,politics,and other factors,as well as the interdisciplinary nature of science and technology with physics,philosophy,biology,sociology,and other disciplines.This highlights the important humanistic and scientific education value of science and technology history.Therefore,doing a good job in teaching science and technology history is of great significance for implementing the core literacy of the history subject.In the past,effective teaching of the history of science and technology in junior high school history textbooks was difficult to implement,and the teaching objectives of core literacy were difficult to achieve.However,by analyzing the content of the history of science and technology in the junior high school history textbooks,it can be seen that the content is rigorously written,auxiliary systems are fully utilized,and the integration of the history of science and technology content is highly valued,and the relationship between science and technology and society is clearly elaborated.In order to address the problems of the history of science and technology teaching in the history curriculum,such as biased teaching concepts,incomplete knowledge of the history of science and technology,single teaching methods,and single evaluation,various methods can be adopted,such as deepening understanding of the curriculum standards,updating educational concepts,integrating and expanding teaching resources of the history of science and technology,using diversified teaching methods,and implementing multiple evaluation methods for teaching the history of science and technology.By carrying out various activities related to the teaching of the history of science and technology,such as designing teaching examples for junior high school history teachers to refer to,it can promote effective teaching of the history of science and technology content in junior high school history.At the critical moment of meeting the second centenary goal,effective teaching of the history of science and technology in junior high school history courses has positive significance in enhancing students’ scientific literacy,cultivating innovation ability,and broadening their international perspective.
