Innovation ability is the soul of national progress as well as the important content of developing students’ core quality.To cultivate students’ innovation ability,we must pay attention to the cultivation of students’ creative thinking,which is one of the important topics in today’s education research.In this study,ATDE teaching mode is applied to high school biology class to conduct practical research and explore the effectiveness of ATDE teaching mode in cultivating students’ creative thinking,so as to promote the cultivation of students’ creative thinking and develop students’ core biological literacy.In the early stage of the study,literature research method was used to sort out a large number of relevant studies on creative thinking and ATDE teaching mode,which laid a theoretical foundation for teaching practice.The current situation of high school biology teachers applying ATDE teaching mode to cultivate students’ creative thinking is understood through the questionnaire survey.Design relevant teaching cases base on the compulsory one of high school biology and curriculum standards.Two classes with similar academic performance,learning attitude,creativity tendency and creative thinking performance are selected to carry out teaching practice.Students’ creative tendency and creative thinking performance are measured again,and data are collected and analyzed at the later stage of practice.By analyzing the data,it can be seen that there are no significant differences in the overall and various dimensions of creativity tendency and creative thinking performance between the two classes before practice.After a semester of teaching practice,the statistical analysis of the posttest data of students in the experimental class and the control class shows that the average value of creativity tendency of students in the experimental class is higher than that in the control class with extremely significant difference(P=0.010≤0.01).The average values of curiosity,imagination and challenge of students in the experimental class are higher than those in the control class with the P value is less than 0.05 by dimensional comparison.There is no significant difference in risk-taking between the two classes.The creative thinking performance of students in the experimental class is higher than that in the control class in general and in all dimensions with the P value is less than 0.05,showing significant differences.After comprehensive analysis,the conclusion is drawn:(1)The ATDE teaching mode is beneficial to the development of students’ creative tendency;(2)The ATDE teaching mode can promote students’ creative thinking performance;(3)The cultivation of students’ creative thinking is a gradual process.It can be concluded that the application of ATDE teaching mode in classroom teaching is conducive to cultivating students’ creative thinking.
