Swimming,as a popular sport among students,has a strong exercise significance and plays an important role in the formation of lifelong physical exercise habits and the improvement and enhancement of students’ physical fitness.However,due to the wide distribution of coastline and many rivers in Haikou,it poses a potential threat to the life and safety of students.Therefore,the Hainan government attaches great importance to swimming education for primary and secondary school students.This paper takes the current situation of teaching swimming motor skills in junior high school physical education and health courses in Haikou as the research object.It uses literature,questionnaires,fieldwork,expert interviews and mathematical statistics to study the teaching objectives,teaching targets,teachers,teaching contents,teaching environment,teaching organization,teaching methods and teaching evaluation of swimming motor skills in junior high school physical education and health courses in Haikou.The study aims to understand the current situation of teaching swimming motor skills in physical education and health courses in Haikou,analyze the problems and propose scientific countermeasures to further improve the quality of teaching swimming motor skills in junior high school physical education and health courses in Haikou.The following conclusions were drawn from the study:1.The practice of teaching swimming motor skills in junior high school physical education and health courses in Haikou has achieved some results,and the basic swimming skills have been basically popular.However,the teaching practice of swimming motor skills in physical education and health courses in Haikou as a whole still has more room for development in the teaching of swimming specific motor skills,drowning prevention and self-rescue,and swimming health and hygiene knowledge.2.The problems that arise in the practice of teaching swimming motor skills in junior high school physical education and health courses in Haikou mainly focus on the hardware facilities and software.In terms of hardware facilities,the teaching venue of swimming motor skills is seriously aging,and the supporting facilities of swimming pool are not perfect.In terms of software,it mainly includes teachers and teaching resources,and the structure of swimming teaching teachers is unbalanced;in terms of teaching resources,swimming teachers lack swimming health knowledge objectives,focus on basic swimming skills teaching in teaching content,use a single teaching organization,favor teachers’ teaching as the main teaching method,and the content of learning evaluation is not comprehensive enough,as well as students’ shortcomings in swimming special motor skills.There are shortcomings in students’ mastery of specific swimming skills.3.The teaching of swimming motor skills in junior high school physical education and health courses in Haikou is influenced by both subjective and objective influencing factors.Among them,the subjective influencing factors are students’ original movement experience and physical quality,as well as their learning interest,learning motivation and self-confidence in the learning process;the objective influencing factors mainly include swimming teachers’ own factors and teaching process elements,among which teachers’ own factors are: teachers’ teaching ability and professional technical level and teaching attitude;teaching process elements mainly include: extracurricular activities,teacher-student relationship,venue equipment,teaching methods,and difficulty of movements.4.The practice of teaching swimming motor skills in junior high school physical education and health curriculum in Haikou City needs to be optimized from the aspects of swimming teaching teachers,teaching resources and teaching venues to promote the development of swimming motor skills teaching in total.For swimming teaching teachers,the existing teaching structure should be adjusted by introducing professional swimming teachers from multiple channels to improve the teaching level.For teaching resources,we enrich the teaching objectives of swimming sports skills,design the overall teaching content,improve the organization of teaching to improve students’ learning efficiency,innovate the teaching methods to consolidate and improve the quality of teaching practice,pay attention to comprehensive learning assessment to improve students’ interest in learning,and consolidate students’ existing level to improve special swimming skills.For the venue resources,the integration of swimming venue resources and the sound school pool operation and maintenance management team provide the basic guarantee for teaching.
