With the rapid development of the information age,traditional education methods have been unable to meet the needs of quality-oriented education.How to improve students’ geography major and core quality has become a major challenge for geography teachers in middle schools.Rural geography is a filler for geography teaching,which is of great significance to geography teaching.According to the Geography Curriculum Standards for Senior High Schools(2017 edition)issued by the Ministry of Education,it is clearly pointed out that senior high school geography education should pay attention to the cultivation of students’ core geographical literacy,and form the awareness of local and global geographic issues and sustainable development.With the implementation of the new curriculum reform,obviously different from the previous curriculum reform,it pays more attention to the development of students.Hometown is the place where everyone lives and grows up,and if you want to cultivate students’ love for their hometown and motherland,you must first make students familiar with this land.The new curriculum reform calls for the adoption of students’ independent learning and cooperative exploration to further improve students’ learning ability and comprehensive quality.At the same time,geography in life should also be paid attention to.However,under the pressure of the college entrance examination,most geography teachers still stay on the subject that only finishes teaching tasks rather than pursuing innovation.It is difficult for students to understand some macro concepts and principles in the textbooks,and there is a serious phenomenon of rote memorization,which makes it difficult to improve their academic performance and comprehensive ability.Local geography course resources are integrated into the teaching,students are familiar with hometown cases to carry out analysis and discussion,and the original boring principles and abstract concepts in the textbook are embodied skillfully,so that students can explore geographical things independently in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere,understand basic knowledge and master basic skills,so as to improve the effectiveness of the classroom.Therefore,teachers’ effective use of local geography resources in practical teaching is not only conducive to improving students’ learning ability and comprehensive quality,but also conforms to the needs of the new geography curriculum reform,which is of great significance.Local geography curriculum resources such as terrain,climate and soil,cultural customs,and commercial transportation in Qiandongnan Prefecture can be used as materials for geography class.These materials can not only be used under the guidance of teachers in school classes,but also can be used through practical activities to lead students to field trips and learn,accumulate local knowledge,and show that students are the subjects of class.To help students convert the knowledge of textbooks into their own and build their own knowledge system is conducive to cultivating students’ discipline literacy.Based on questionnaire distribution,statistical data and teaching practice analysis,the author obtained the current application status of local geography curriculum resources in senior high schools in Qiandongnan Prefecture: First,most students have a low understanding of local geography curriculum resources.Basically,teachers teach local geography related content in class,and have only one way to acquire knowledge,so their interest in learning geography needs to be improved.Second,geography teachers hold a positive attitude towards the application of local geography curriculum resources,but they seldom use local geography due to the pressure of college entrance.The main reasons are as follows: first,it is difficult to excavate rural geography curriculum resources,and it is difficult to form a system;Second,high school teachers high school pressure,time tight,heavy task;Third,teachers’ theoretical knowledge level is limited,lack of professional guidance and access to resources.This paper puts forward some suggestions on the development and application of local geography curriculum resources.In the development of local geography curriculum resources,firstly,strengthen the training of professional knowledge and teaching skills to improve teachers’ professional quality;The second is to cooperate with relevant departments and teachers to compile local geography teaching materials;Third,the use of the Internet,the establishment of local geographic resources;The fourth is to develop the practice base of local geography.In the application of local geography curriculum resources,the author integrates the local geography curriculum resources of Qiandongnan Prefecture with the knowledge points of the chapters of compulsory one and optional One,two and three of the new textbook of Chinese and Pictorial Geography,puts forward teaching practice suggestions,and makes case analysis from the aspects of classroom introduction,case teaching,practical activities and classroom training.At the same time,two typical rural geography teaching cases are selected for teaching practice,and the teaching effect is analyzed,so as to enrich the content of geography teaching classroom in Qiandongnan Prefecture.It is hoped that the study of this paper can provide some references for the development and teaching of local geography curriculum resources in Qiandongnan Prefecture.It is expected that more colleagues can join in the study and make their own contributions to the educational cause of Qiandongnan Prefecture.
