| The twentieth Party Congress put forward the need to comprehensively promote the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation with Chinese-style modernization,and high-quality development has received widespread attention as the primary task of fully building a modern socialist country.As an important carrier of China’s high-quality economic development,enterprises have played an important role in promoting economic growth,stabilizing employment and improving people’s livelihood.Employment is the most basic livelihood of the people,and the State has been exploring the system to strengthen the protection of workers’ rights and interests under the new employment pattern,hoping to come out of a path to promote the harmonious development of labor-management relations,and the Labor Contract Law promulgated in 2008 was established by the State to promote the harmonious development of labor-management relations.Today,it has been 15 years since the promulgation of the Labor Contract Law.Exploring the implementation of the Labor Contract Law on the high-quality development of enterprises from an empirical perspective can provide new evidence for exploring the effect of the implementation of labor protection laws and also find new ideas for promoting the high-quality development of enterprises.The study ideas of this paper are as follows: firstly,we analyze the academic basis and impact mechanism of the implementation of the Labor Contract Law on the high-quality development of enterprises;then we take the implementation of the Labor Contract Law in 2008 as a paranormal experiment and establish a double difference model to analyze the impact of the labor protection system represented by the Labor Contract Law on the high-quality development of enterprises from an empirical perspective,and also analyze the impact of the labor protection system represented by the Labor Contract Law on the high-quality development of enterprises in terms of the types of enterprise ownership The influence of the implementation of the Labor Contract Law on the high-quality development of enterprises is investigated from three aspects: the type of ownership,the regional marketization process,and the level of rule of law;finally,the influence mechanism of the application of the Labor Contract Law on the high-quality development of enterprises is demonstrated through mechanism testing.The results of the study show that: first,the labor protection system has a significant positive effect on the high-quality development of firms,and the implementation of the Labor Contract Law has a greater effect on the improvement of the high-quality development of labor-intensive enterprises;second,the results of the heterogeneity test show that the labor protection system has a greater effect on the high-quality development of non-state-owned enterprises in regions with low marketization level and high rule of law level;third,the mechanism test The results show that the implementation of the Labor Contract Law promotes the high-quality development of enterprises by improving the capital-labor ratio,the labor productivity of enterprises,and the innovation level of enterprises.Policy recommendations: first,strengthen legal supervision to guarantee the effective implementation of the Labor Contract Law;second,focus on strengthening the supervision of private firms to promote the high-quality development of private firms;third,increase the publicity of labor laws and regulations to effectively enhance workers’ awareness of their rights;fourth,improve labor security incentives to give play to the leading role of talents in enterprise innovation. |
