The rapid development of Internet technology and the complex challenges of economic globalization make the international competition more and more fierce.In order to meet the needs of social development and future changes,international organizations and education systems of various countries have put forward new requirements for talent training.The two elements of "communication and cooperation" and "problem solving" have been included in the 29 core literacy frameworks released worldwide for many times,which indicates that collaborative problem solving ability has become the focus of talent training in the 21 st century.It is also necessary to bring collaborative problem-solving ability into personnel training in basic education.However,the current traditional teaching model advocates open problem learning and collaborative learning in the classroom.However,in the actual teaching process,because of the differences in the way of thinking of students,they often appear different opinions of cooperation,and even lead to conflicts.In addition,a series of problems,such as unclear role positioning of collaboration,unclear understanding of learning objectives,and weak sense of collaboration participation,make it difficult for students to establish a sustainable and efficient collaborative environment to solve problems,and thus achieve little effect on the cultivation of collaborative problem-solving ability.In this study,thematic teaching,as a new teaching method advocated by the new curriculum reform,puts practical problems in front of students,encourages students to better focus on the exploration and learning of thematic problems,creates a collaborative atmosphere for students to think openly and discuss boldly in the collaborative interaction between teachers and students,and expands the way for students to seek solutions to problems.It also creates favorable conditions for cultivating students’ collaborative problem-solving ability.This study attempts to design a theme-based teaching model oriented to the cultivation of collaborative problem solving ability,and further verifies whether it can improve students’ collaborative problem solving ability in practical research.Through the investigation of the research background and the review of the research status of collaborative problem solving ability and thematic teaching,this study finds that there are few researches on the cultivation of collaborative problem solving ability through innovative teaching mode at home and abroad,especially the research on the cultivation of collaborative problem solving ability through thematic teaching mode has great deficiencies in design and practical research.Therefore,this study mainly consists of the following four aspects: First,PDCA cycle theory model,activity theory and constructivism learning theory are used as the theoretical basis for designing a theme-oriented teaching model for cultivating collaborative problem-solving ability.On the basis of sorting out the characteristics,general teaching process and design principles of the theme-oriented teaching model,a theme-oriented teaching model for cultivating collaborative problem-solving ability is constructed.Second,it aims at the three themes of the teaching unit of Information technology "Processing Picture Information" in Grade 7 of Hubei Education Press: Theme 1: "I can make ID photos";Theme 2: "I design the cover of School Magazine";Theme 3: "The Birth of Campus Stars";From the analysis of learning needs,the analysis of learning content,the analysis of learners,the analysis of teaching objectives,the analysis of teaching environment,the design of teaching resources,the formulation of teaching strategies,and the design of teaching evaluation,the thesis carries out the classroom teaching design of theme-based teaching mode oriented to the cultivation of collaborative problem solving ability.Thirdly,taking the teaching unit of information Technology "Processing Picture Information" in Grade 7 of Hubei Education Press as an example,110 students from Class 7 and Class 8 of Grade 7 of a middle school in Wuhan,Hubei Province,were selected to participate in the 13-week teaching experiment.Among them,the experimental class was Grade 8 of grade 7,containing 57 students,and the control class was Grade 7,containing 53 students.The experimental class adopted the theme-based teaching model oriented to the cultivation of collaborative problem-solving ability and carried out three rounds of actions.After each round of action research,the theme-based teaching model oriented to the cultivation of collaborative problem-solving ability was improved and optimized by analyzing the data collected from classroom observation and interview.The control class adopts the traditional information technology operation class teaching mode to conduct three rounds of teaching practice research.Fourthly,questionnaire survey was conducted to measure the cooperative problem solving ability and group work performance of the experimental class and control class after each round of teaching practice,and to measure the teaching effect satisfaction of the students in the two classes after three rounds of teaching practice,so as to test the practical effect of the teaching model.The results show that in the practice of information technology "Processing Picture Information" teaching unit of Grade 7 in Hubei Education Press,the traditional information technology operation class teaching mode can improve students’ collaborative problem-solving ability and work performance to a certain extent,but the effective period is relatively slow.The theme-based teaching mode oriented to the cultivation of collaborative problem-solving ability can effectively improve students’ collaborative problem-solving ability and work performance.Compared with the traditional information technology operation class teaching mode,the theme-based teaching mode oriented to the cultivation of collaborative problem solving ability is more helpful to improve students’ collaborative problem solving ability and work performance.The satisfaction degree of the experimental class to the theme-based teaching model oriented to the cultivation of collaborative problem-solving ability is higher than that of the control class to the traditional information technology operation class teaching model.
