| Children’s social adjustment is an im~Apo~brt~san~tt ~rco~an~cdi~ttion for people to integrate into the society and get along with others harmoniously,and it is also the embodiment of children’s gradual sociality.Family is the environment that children first come into contact with,and it has an inestimable impact on children’s social adjustment.In modern social life,the home chaos has gradually become a negative factor affecting children’s learning and development.It also have an impact on children’s social adjustment.Due to domestic existing family environment plays a questionnaire contains only physical distracting degrees this aspect,the study wants to analysis the most important variables home chaos,through the parent interview and data analysis tools,to build a family environment plays a degree of three dimensions,respectively is the environment mess,leakage of pressure and conflict.Parental involment is one of the direct factors affecting children’s social adjustment.The background variable of home chaos will affect children’s social adjustment through parental involment.Therefore,this research with 4 to 6 years old children’s parents as subjects,using interview method,questionnaire survey,for parents to participate in the questionnaire,early school behavior rating scale as a research tool,to discusses the characteristics of 4 to 6 years old children’s home chaos and social adjustment,and examine the mediating role of parental involvement between home chaos and children’s social adjustment.The research conclusions are as follows:1.The level of home chaos of 4-6 years old children is lower than medium.From the mean value,the scores of the three dimensions from high to low are concept conflict,pressure leakage and environmental mess.2.There is no significant difference in the degree of home chaos in 4-6 years old children.In terms of gender,boys have significantly more explicit problems than girls,and girls’social adaptation is significantly higher than boys.There is no significant difference in the other two dimensions of common upbringing and only-child family.There are significant differences in educational background and occupation between noisy environment and concept conflict.There are significant differences in family per capita monthly income between noisy environment,concept conflict and stress leakage.3.4-6 years old children’s social adaptation is generally good,without obvious explicit and implicit problems.4.there is no significant difference in the three dimensions of social adjustment between 4-6 years old children.In terms of gender,boys have significantly more explicit problems than girls,and girls have significantly higher social competence than boys.On the only-child,the only-child has more explicit and implicit problems than the non-only-child.In terms of common upbringing,the children with common upbringing by grandparents have more explicit and implicit problems than those without common upbringing,and their social ability is lower than those without common upbringing.There are significant differences between the two dimensions of explicit problems and social ability of 4-6 years old children in parents’educational background,and there are significant differences between the three dimensions of explicit problems,implicit problems and social ability in parents’occupation and family per capita monthly income.5.The home chaos is significantly negatively correlated with the overall parental participation,with children’s social ability,and with children’s explicit and implicit problems.Overall parental participation is significantly positively correlated with children’s social ability,and significantly negatively correlated with children’s implicit and explicit problems.The three dimensions of home chaos:environmental mess,pressure leakage and concept conflict are significantly negatively correlated with the two dimensions of parental involvement,home communication and family involvement,and also negatively correlated with children’s social ability,and significantly positively correlated with explicit and implicit problems.The two dimensions of parental involvement are positively correlated with children’s social ability,and negatively correlated with explicit and implicit problems.There is a strong correlation between the home chaos and implicit problems(r=0.55)and explicit problems(r=0.50).There was a strong correlation between overall parental participation and the dimension of children’s social competence(r=0.62).6.The degree of home chaos has a significant predictive effect on the three dimensions of children’s social adaptation.In addition,among the three dimensions of home chaos,the dimension of environmental mess has the strongest predictive effect on children’s social ability,explicit problems and implicit problems,with 17%,29%and27%of explicable variation.7.Parental involvement has significant partial mediating effect between home chaos and children’s social competence,explicit and implicit problems.Specifically,the mediating effect of parental participation on children’s social ability was 43.3%,52.4%and 50.0%,respectively,in the three dimensions of environmental mess,pressure leakage and concept conflict.The mediating effects of parents’participation on children’s implicit problems were 11.6%,11.1%and 16.0%,respectively,in the three dimensions of environmental mess,pressure leakage and concept conflict.The mediating effect of parental participation on the relationship between environmental mess,pressure leakage,concept conflict and children’s explicit problems was 13.3%,13.5%,20.8%,respectively.According to the conclusion,the study thinks that the following aspects should reduce the degree of the home chaos,improve children’s social adaptability:first,create a quiet and orderly living environment,cultivate children’s sense of order;Second,good at regulating emotions,to avoid bad emotions to children;Third,reduce concept conflict,create warm and harmonious family atmosphere;Fourth,improve the quality of parental participation and promote children’s good social adaptation. |
