The Expression And Listening Of Intellectual Youth In Weibo Tree Hole

The "Tree Hole" is an online social platform with anonymous contribution function.As the aborigines of the Internet,the "Generation Z" has gradually entered the youth stage.Due to the media contact habits formed since childhood,they often choose to pour out their love woes,academic or work pressure,interpersonal problems,family of origin helplessness,and even personal secrets that are difficult to talk about,and other things they want to talk about but have nowhere to talk about them in cyberspace.The "Weibo Tree Hole" is such an anonymous social media,and it is also a new field for the "Generation Z" youth to practice online.The close connection between Tree Hole culture and "Generation Z" youth groups is obvious,as there are interactive discussions and interesting groups on "Tree Hole" related topics in various popular social media platforms,and "Tree Hole" psychological assistance activities are often carried out in universities.Tree Hole provide an online space for young users to vent their emotions,categorize themselves,and snoop around,satisfying their need to stay independent and separate,as well as their need to stay connected to society.Tree Hole culture has the characteristics of youth subculture with certain resistance and style.In this paper,we conducted a detailed case study of the @PITD Asian Abuse Doctors Organization and found that the expressions of this group of highly educated youths reflect the textual characteristics of collage and reconstruction of words and phrases,playful and self-reflective expression style,and expressions of scenes reproduction,and the "emoticon culture" and "mourning culture" among them are the concentrated performances of youth subculture.In terms of content presentation,the content is mainly the private narratives of individuals,which have formed an interactive ritual chain of the group,and the youth group has completed the emotional connection between the individual and the group in the interaction of the Weibo Tree Hole,reaching emotional contagion and identity.The master’s and doctoral youth in this Weibo Tree Hole are willing to listen to topics related to research and study,interpersonal communication,future development,and psychological help-seeking,and they respond to positive,intermediate,and negative emotions with a human-oriented listening style and empathic listening purpose.However,because online listening lacks the support of non-verbal symbols compared to offline listening,the listening activities of this group of highly educated youth have to rely heavily on their expressive skills.Identity anonymity creates a complete separation between online and offline listening,which cannot be integrated.These characteristics undoubtedly reduce the effectiveness of communication between the transmitter and the receiver to a certain extent.In conclusion,from the perspective of communication effect,online Tree Hole provide a new space for youth to confide in and provide an alternative emotional healing and information support.However,the excessive use of online Tree Hole also affects the psychological development of young users to a certain extent,making youth lower their expectations of real social interaction.The over-entertainment of answers in Tree Hole may also aggravate the mental crisis of individuals,blur the judgment of "rational" and "irrational" and lead to value deviation,and the social alienation of "physical absence" reduces the social quality of youth.
