| In the context of the "Internet+" era, many new learning technologies have sprung up.Among them, online learning has evolved into a new way of learning with the support of technology, and has gradually gained attention and recognition. In the Ten-Year Development Plan for Education Informatization(2011-2020)released by the Ministry of Education, the importance of informatization in basic education is particularly pointed out,and it is proposed that information technology should be combined with teaching and learning to create an informatized learning context on which to develop students’ ability to adapt to learning in an informatized classroom.E-learning,as an emerging online learning mode, has received widespread attention for its quickness, high openness, and large scale. However,in contrast, the problems of poor learning outcomes, low completion rates and even dropouts among learners are becoming increasingly prominent.Because online learning has its special features, which are somewhat different and different from traditional learning methods, and most online learning resources and platforms are not yet well constructed, the development and prospect of online learning are not optimistic under such conditions. In order to further understand the current situation of learners’ online learning and thus discover the causes that influence the emergence of dropout patterns in online learning spaces, this paper takes online learning space users as the research object, understands the actual situation of students’ online learning dropout through empirical analysis, and provides corresponding suggestions and references for improving the solution of the online learning space dropout problem. This study uses a combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis Identify factors that affect online learning spatial dropout patterns spaces from the perspective of online learners.First,on the basis of extensive literature study and the method of rooting theory, online learners were selected to conduct semi-structured in-depth interviews to obtain original data, and then coded in three levels in turn, and finally 45 initial concepts were extracted, and 16 initial categories and 5 main categories were obtained by organizing and summarizing. On this basis,a theoretical model of factors influencing dropout patterns in online learning spaces was constructed based on the dropout pattern theory and ternary interaction theory analysis framework.Next, the research variables and measurement items were identified,a questionnaire was designed, and 240 valid questionnaires were collected by online distribution method, and the reliability and validity of the questionnaire were tested using SPSS 26.0.The study found that online learners’ personal characteristics, including psychological and skills;courses and interactions;and platform, family, and socio-educational environment support were the key factors influencing whether online learners were studying or dropping out. Finally,in response to the research results, suggestions and measures are made to solve the problem of dropout in online learning spaces, improve online learners’ ability to learn independently, enhance the design and development of course resources, cultivate students’ ability to interact actively in online learning, establish a personalized online learning environment, pay attention to family and social education support, and build a two-way good cultural atmosphere. |
