With the deepening of curriculum reform,it is increasingly important to carry out teaching and research activities based on core literacy. In the autumn of 2021,high school students in Jiangxi will be the third batch of students in China to use the new teaching materials, and the high school chemistry teaching activities to develop students’ core chemistry literacy with the new curriculum standard materials as the carrier will start in all parts of the country.Among them, because of the characteristics of life and abstractness of electrochemical content in high school, students are not only interested in electrochemical learning, but also have cognitive difficulties. Therefore, electrochemical teaching research based on core literacy has certain significance for improving the quality of electrochemical teaching and developing the core literacy of chemistry. In the early stage of the study,by referring to the development process of core literacy at home and abroad and the research status of electrochemical content under core literacy, this paper explores its research status, research significance and research methods.Through literature method, this paper summarizes the concept of core literacy, disciplinary core literacy and chemical core literacy, and briefly describes the theoretical basis needed in this paper.Through the comparative analysis of the electrochemical content of the old and new textbooks in the human education edition, new ideas are learned, new textbooks are developed, electrochemical teaching suggestions are put forward, and teaching design is improved. In addition, interviews and questionnaires were used to fully understand the current teaching status of electrochemistry and students’ learning situation, and common problems in electrochemistry teaching and confusion in students’ learning were sorted out,so as to make the teaching closer to the current situation and more groundbreaking.Subsequently,in order to enable students not only to better grasp electrochemical knowledge, but also to improve students’ core chemistry literacy, this study focused on cultivating students’ core literacy and designed teaching cases of "galvanic battery","electrolytic cell" and "Metal corrosion and Protection".In the practice school, two parallel classes were selected to carry out electrochemical teaching with different differences. After the implementation of each teaching case, the students are timely tested after class and their literacy is analyzed. After the teaching of the whole unit of electrochemistry, the students’ mastering of the principle and application of galvanic cell and electrolytic cell is tested in the electrochemical unit of the second year of high school.SPSS23.0 software is used to analyze the result data and conduct a questionnaire survey on the cultivation of students’ literacy in chemistry core literacy. The effect of electrochemical teaching under core literacy is demonstrated. The experimental class based on core literacy teaching students’ learning performance, learning interest, learning state and reception degree are relatively higher than the control class, and their electrochemical cognitive ideas, core concepts and literacy have made obvious progress. In this paper, the content of "electrochemistry" as the carrier,in order to cultivate students’ core quality of chemistry as the goal, change the traditional teaching methods in teaching, found that the cultivation of quality as the purpose of teaching mode, can improve students’ academic performance, strengthen students’ chemical thinking; Can stimulate students’ interest in learning, change learning attitude and habits; It can improve teachers’ professional quality and practical ability, and finally achieve the goal of students’ core quality development.
