This article takes teachers from R private higher vocational colleges in Jiangxi Province as the research object,takes human resource management theory as the research basis,and uses job satisfaction theory and demand hierarchy theory to analyze the problem of teacher turnover in private higher vocational colleges.By conducting interviews and questionnaire surveys with in-service and former teachers,as well as leaders of private higher vocational colleges in Jiangxi Province,this study analyzes the main problems of teacher turnover in private universities in China.Through problem analysis,it was found that there are two main reasons for the loss of teaching staff.One is external reasons,including the inadequate social security system and low social recognition of private vocational colleges,which affect teachers’ sense of professional achievement;The second is internal reasons,including unreasonable performance evaluation in private higher vocational colleges,imperfect salary system,imperfect introduction mechanism of Ren Chicheng,and lack of systematic training.The combination of multiple factors has led to a high turnover rate of the teaching staff in private higher vocational colleges,which has greatly hindered the development of private higher vocational colleges.On the basis of understanding the problems,the article proposes specific solutions from the perspective of human resource management: firstly,to create an external environment conducive to the construction of the teaching staff in R private higher vocational colleges,starting from various aspects such as the government and society,and to transform people’s understanding of private universities in the society;The second is to establish and improve the management mechanism and scientific appointment mechanism of the school,providing a good development platform for teachers;Thirdly,establish a fair and scientific performance evaluation system,leverage the incentive effect of performance evaluation,and strengthen the use of evaluation results;Fourth,improve the salary and welfare mechanism to retain more outstanding teachers;The fifth is to enhance teachers’ own abilities and enhance their sense of professional value identification and belonging.Overall,the issue of teacher turnover in private higher vocational colleges is not an exception,but also reflects many social issues from the side.It requires the government,society,and private universities to work together to reduce teacher turnover and promote the long-term stable development of private education in China.
