With the promulgation of the new curriculum standards and the strengthening of the practicality and comprehensiveness of Chinese,the "activity and exploration" unit of junior high school Chinese in the Ministry of Education plays an increasingly important role.In recent years,project-based learning has also been more and more widely used in education,and its emphasis on inquiry and comprehensiveness coincides with the characteristics of the "activity and inquiry" unit.Before that,most of the studies focused on the interpretation of this type of unit and the analysis of teaching strategies.In the actual teaching situation,there were also problems such as task fragmentation,short class hours,and weak activity design,which resulted in the lack of systematic and complete teaching design.These phenomena made the "activity and exploration" unit teaching unable to truly reflect its setting intention of integrating "listening,speaking,reading,writing,and doing".For this reason,this paper intends to use the methods of questionnaire,literature research and case analysis to analyze the current situation and causes of "activity · inquiry" unit teaching.In view of a series of problems existing in the teaching of the above "activity · inquiry" unit,project-based learning is integrated into the teaching of the "activity · inquiry" unit.Based on the overview of the relevant concepts and characteristics of project-based learning and "activity · inquiry" unit,this paper discusses the feasibility and necessity of combining project-based learning with "activity · inquiry" unit teaching,then from the perspective of the whole,specifically to the three subtasks of the "activity · inquiry" unit,explore how project-based learning can be combined with this type of unit for teaching design.Through the analysis of the overall application and design path of project-based learning in the "activity · inquiry" unit,and taking the first "activity · inquiry" news unit in junior high school as an example,the author makes a complete and systematic teaching design of the news unit from the project start,project implementation to the display stage,and tries to explore the new teaching design ideas of this type of unit.
