Effects Of Aerobic Combined With Resistance Exercise On The Functional Fitness Of Elderly Patients With Sarcopenia

Objective: This study aims to compare and analyze the intra group changes of functional physical fitness test indexes such as back grasping,30 second sitting,chair sitting forward,30 second arm bending,8 foot standing walking,2 minute standing in situ,and explore the effect of aerobic combined resistance exercise on muscle strength,flexibility,aerobic endurance The influence of functional physical fitness,such as dynamic balance and sensitive quality,provides theoretical basis and practical reference for the elderly to carry out scientific exercise.Methods: This study mainly used literature,expert interview,questionnaire,experiment,mathematical statistics,logic analysis and other methods to study the effect of aerobic combined resistance exercise on functional physical fitness of elderly patients with sarcopenia.Thirty two eligible elderly patients with sarcopenia were recruited from Jingzhou Golden Garden Elderly Apartment as test subjects.They were randomly divided into four groups: aerobic group(n=8),resistance group(n=8),aerobic combined resistance group(n=8)and blank control group(n=8).A randomized controlled trial was conducted for 8 weeks.The aerobics training was carried out in the aerobic group,the progressive elastic band resistance training was carried out in the resistance group,and the combined aerobics resistance training was carried out in the two groups.The exercise frequency of the three groups was 3 times a week,the exercise time was 45 minutes per time,and the exercise intensity was60% HRmax and 60%1RM;The blank control group did not apply additional intervention and carried out normal life activities.The functional physical fitness test was conducted before the test,at the fourth week of the test,and at the end of the eighth week of the test.The fourth week of the test was used to test the effect and feasibility of the exercise program in the interim,make appropriate adjustments to the exercise program in time,and use SPSS26.0 software to conduct statistical analysis on the data before and after the test.Results:(1)Before the test,the indexes of functional physical fitness in the four groups of aerobic group,resistance group,aerobic combined resistance group and blank control group had no statistical significance(P>0.05).(2)The 30 s sitting and standing performance of the resistance group has made significant progress compared with that before the experiment.The difference between the scores measured before and after the experiment is highly significant(P=0.001<0.01),and the difference between the scores of the aerobic combined resistance group before and after the experiment is significant(P=0.015<0.05),indicating that the 30 s sitting and standing performance of the group has improved after 8 weeks of training.The results of the aerobic group and the blank control group have no significant difference compared with that before the experiment(P=0.197,0.763>0.05).(3)Except that there was no statistically significant difference between the pre and post test results of the aerobic group and the blank group(P=0.351,1.000>0.05),there was a highly significant difference between the post test results of the resistance group’s 30 s arm bending lift and the pre-test results(P=0.000<0.01),indicating that the performance of the group’s30s arm bending lift was significantly improved after 8 weeks of intervention;There was a significant difference in the scores of aerobic combined resistance group before and after the experiment(P=0.038<0.05),and the difference was statistically significant.(4)Only in the aerobic group,the results of the post test of 2-minute standing step were significantly improved compared with the pre-test(P=0.008<0.01),and the differences between the results of the pre-test and post test of the other three groups were not statistically significant(P=0.676,0.070,0.109>0.05).(5)Except that there was no significant difference between the resistance group and the blank control group(P=0.168,0.351>0.05),there was a significant difference between the aerobic group and the aerobic combined resistance group(P=0.018<0.05),indicating that the back grasping performance of the two groups was improved.(6)The results of forward bending in chair sitting in the aerobic group and the aerobic combined resistance group were significantly improved compared with those before the test(P=0.012,0.030<0.05).There was no statistically significant change in the results of the resistance group and the blank control group before and after the test(P=0.222,0.732>0.05).(7)There was a highly significant difference between the aerobic group and the aerobic combined resistance group before and after the experiment in the performance of 8-foot standing walk(P=0.003,0.001<0.01),and there was no significant change in the performance of the other two groups compared with that before the experiment(P=0.073,0.307>0.05).Conclusions:(1)Simple aerobic exercise can effectively improve the aerobic capacity,flexibility of upper and lower limbs and dynamic balance of elderly patients with sarcopenia.Simple aerobic exercise has no obvious effect on improving muscle strength of upper and lower limbs.Adherence to aerobic exercise can slow down the decline of muscle strength to a certain extent.(2)Simple resistance exercise can effectively improve the upper and lower limb muscle strength of elderly patients with sarcopenia.Aerobic combined resistance exercise and simple resistance exercise have a good improvement effect on the muscle strength of elderly patients with sarcopenia.In the group comparison,the effect of simple resistance exercise is better than that of aerobic combined resistance exercise.The effect of resistance exercise alone on improving the flexibility and dynamic balance of upper and lower extremities in elderly patients with muscular deficiency is not obvious.(3)In addition to not significantly improving the aerobic endurance of elderly patients with sarcopenia,aerobic combined resistance exercise has effectively improved the upper and lower limb muscle strength,upper and lower limb flexibility and dynamic balance of elderly patients with sarcopenia.Compared with simple aerobic exercise or simple resistance exercise,aerobic combined resistance exercise may be more conducive to improving the functional fitness and health level of elderly patients with sarcopenia.
