| In order to reduce students’ schoolwork burden and off-campus training burden and improve school education level,the General Office of the CPC Central Committee and The General Office of the State Council issued Opinions on Further Reducing Students’ Homework Burden and Offcampus Training Burden in Compulsory Education Stage in July 2021(hereinafter referred to as "double Reduction").The document put forward clear requirements on the total amount of work and the quality of work design,and set scientific and reasonable work as one of the objectives of this work.Junior high school students are in the early stage of policy implementation.Clarifying the existing progress and problems in the assignment of junior high school biology homework under the background of "double reduction" will not only help teachers change their traditional teaching thinking,grasp the scientific,rational and artistic nature of the assignment,explore diversified teaching methods,and improve teachers’ professional quality of education.It can also provide the direction for the follow-up policy implementation.This study takes constructivism theory and multiple intelligences theory as theoretical support,and uses literature research method,questionnaire survey method and interview survey method to explore the current situation of junior high school biology homework under the "double reduction" policy.In this study,Nankai District,Hebei District and Hexi District among the six districts in Tianjin,Dongli District outside the urban area and Binhai New Area with its own system are selected as the survey objects.The teacher samples were from Heping District,Hebei District,Hexi District,Beichen District and Binhai New District.Through the questionnaire survey,we learned from the students:students in different grades and districts can use the knowledge to complete the homework and the completion time mainly focuses on 10-15minutes;At the same time,the type and content of homework assigned by teachers did not differ greatly in different districts and counties,which were mainly workbooks.The learning effect of students after completing the homework also needs to be improved;Students in different grades and different districts and counties do not hand in homework,the main reason is that students do not develop good homework habits and self-control ability is weak,easy to be disturbed by the outside bad temptation(such as electronic products);From the way of finishing homework,most students have a correct attitude towards biology homework,but there are also some students do not like biology homework,which will affect the learning effect of students.Through interviews with teachers,it is known that after the "double reduction" policy was promulgated,some junior middle school biology teachers have made positive adjustments to their homework,such as digging the content of textbooks and teaching in life-oriented situations,but there is still a partial understanding of the purpose of homework.Secondly,teachers lack of positive and correct guidance on students’ homework,which leads to students’ rejection of biology homework.In terms of homework evaluation and feedback,teachers lack communication and interaction with students,and do not pay attention to understanding students’ thoughts on their homework assignment.After clarifying the current situation of biology assignment in junior high school,in order to promote the further implementation of the "double reduction" policy and improve the quality of teachers’ assignment design,this study puts forward the following suggestions:first,teachers should actively innovate their own educational concepts,and strengthen cooperation and exchanges with teachers in other regions to achieve win-win cooperation;Second,according to the constructivism teaching view,teachers should assume the responsibility of helping and promoting,strengthen the interaction between teachers and students,take the initiative to exchange ideas with students about biology homework,and jointly build high-quality homework content.Thirdly,based on the theory of multiple intelligences,we assign multiple types of biological homework and carry out various forms of job evaluation mode to promote the comprehensive development of students’ multiple intelligences.Fourth,combine the characteristics of the law of physical and mental development of junior high school students,cultivate students’ good homework habits,improve the learning effect of students;The fifth is to establish students’ homework files and pay attention to the dynamic development of students. |
