Middle school is an important period for the formation of students’ aesthetic values,and their aesthetic feelings are increasingly enhanced.Therefore,it is clearly required in the new Chinese curriculum standard of compulsory education that students should have the initial ability to feel beauty,discover beauty and use language to express beauty and create beauty;Self-cultivation of elegant taste,with healthy aesthetic consciousness and correct aesthetic concept ",attaches great importance to the cultivation of students’ aesthetic ability.Tragedy,as the highest art form,is an important carrier of aesthetic education.Many tragic works have been selected and edited in junior high school Chinese textbooks.These works can help students form a healthy aesthetic taste and perfect a beautiful personality,which is of great significance in Chinese classroom teaching.However,from the current teaching status of tragic works,there are still some problems to be solved,such as teachers themselves do not pay enough attention to the theory of tragedy,students do not have a strong interest in reading,lack of knowledge and so on.Therefore,based on the emphasis of the new curriculum standard on aesthetic education and the analysis of the teaching status,in the teaching practice of tragic works,the tragic theory of aesthetics should be applied to the aesthetic analysis of the tragic works in junior middle school,and the feasible aesthetic teaching strategies should be formulated according to the characteristics of students’ learning situation.This paper is divided into four parts: the first part is the definition of tragedy and tragic works related concepts,and analysis of their characteristics,aesthetic value and aesthetic teaching objectives;The second part of the tragic works appeared in the Chinese textbooks of junior high school articles statistics,and explore the types of their works;The third part through the questionnaire survey,in-depth investigation of the current teaching status and analysis of the reasons;Finally,according to the above content,put forward the form and strategy of aesthetic teaching of tragic works.
